Nice all around, except for the rear which looks like the *&?king Camry. Why, oh why? I thought rumors were that the rear will resemble the BMW 5 series.

It does look sportier but I'm not feeling the grille and headlights. Seems to be a bit smaller too.

it's like complaining to honda that they won't slap a turbo charged V6 awd in their civics. it's just not marketed or built that way.
I completely agree. why do all of you guys have to complain about the 7th gen? you don't even know what it is gunna have. just have patience. Stop being a bunch of little butt-holes and maybe just be excited that a new max is even coming out and not being discontinued because of the Altima's success.

i could see that about the nissan logo but not the window.

It looks kind of mean in the front not pretty but mean. (black color with a blacked out grille would be mean) I do not think the pictures show the se trim level I hope. The interior looks alot better.

But really I do not care about the exterior details. Drivetrain/engine is the most important thing and I hope nissan officials (general Manager) are not full of hot air.

it looks decent, although i don't really like the side profile and for the money (it will most def be a jump in price) i'd go and cop the G35 sedan for a few extra bucks. I will say that i'm impressed and it had be thinking about it for a hot minute now that my car is paid off.

Ok...the more I look at this car the more I'm starting not to like how "unoriginal" it is.

The front facia is a poor copy of the G37. God only knows why it's so boxed in the front

It doesn't stand out from it's side profile (or rear) and can be VERY easily mistaken for a Camry.

Clearly it doesn't have the VQ35HR because of where the tach stops, meaning that it will probably have the VQ35DE which again is an immediate fail based on the fact that it will be 35k+

No LED tails either....Yeah, I had to let it sink in first after seeing it initially, and I'm very disappointed. I will say that it's a step up in their overall design over their current product line which is generic, ugly, bland, and boring (minus the Z) but still falls short of what it should have been.

Well, the American "Maxima" has always been FWD since the 2nd gen. The Japanese "A31 Cefiro" (3rd gen Equivalent) was RWD. I sometimes wonder why they changed it for the American market. Oh well.

After looking at some comparison pics of the new alti and Maxi...the back ends other than the tail lights, are pretty much exactly the same....

Exactly... Its the Alti rear with different tail lights.

In the 6th gen, the Max copied the Alti's front. In the 7th gen, it is copying Alti's rear. Is that an improvement?

Hello doesnt anybody notice that the interior looks just like every infinity?????

But I am not complaining i love it and wish i could have a Q45 for my sunday driver. So I think that this max better have a crap ton of power and handle like a **** or else.....

I like the total infinity look but I just wish it was a bit more not so luxury lookin. and more plain lookin.

I cant freakin wait to see the specs.

people just need time to get used to it. I mean the new trend nowadays is reusing like 5 different body styles from different cars. Dunno..i think it look pretty good.

You wish it was more plain looking? Ok, if you want a car MORE plain looking then a Nissan then perhaps you should check out Suzuki, or perhaps Hyundai. They'd have something right up your alley.

It is funny, the teaser pics that show the logo has blacked out trim and larger polished rims and with all the pics released show chrome trim around the rear window. I wonder maybe these pics were released on purpose ( just for hipe) and the se trim will be revealed at the auto show with a 6 speed and/or a 7200 rpm redline. I Hope. (10% reality 90% pipe dream). We will see today.

Shhhhhhhhhh,

That's the sound of the air letting out of my expectations when I read the specs. VQ35(for 6 years now), 290hp(that's good), CVT+FWD(Boooooo!). 4DSC? Not quite. Looks beautiful on the showroom.

Even though every last detail may not be exactly how I would want my dream Max, there is NOTHING about your car and the work you've put in that I do not admire!
