so I wanted to check the car. guess what - it had 4400 miles on it already. Its a demo car and the executive was driving it for I dont know how long.may be 4 months.

m not feelin good with this 4K miles on it. and the dealer is about 30 minute drive from my home. The other one is just 5 min. not a big deal..but you know...

what you guys think ?

Mine was with only 300 miles and I got mad, so I don't know about 4K miles...

My 6th gen had only 3 miles, but I had purchased it before it arrived at my dealer, and those 3 miles were on it when it was unloaded off the truck (I was there to watch it being unloaded). It must have been used for a quickie donut run while still in Smyrna.

haha ok you win you win!

Does anyone else feel a difference when driving in DS (Drive Sport) mode? It feels like the car revs harder and wants to jump a bit more. What is it supposed to do? (I don't mean using the paddles just the mode itself)

it officially had 13 when I signed the papers.

i'm going to stick with my original dealer who offered me a 35,800.

but will try to get this to 35K.I dont know if it will happen.

anywayz..is it true most of you paid in the range of 34,500 to 35,000 for a SV - premium/tech.

Canada Pricing

I am so close to pulling the trigger on a black 09 Maxima w/sport and tech. I live in Canada, so our MSRP is $43,850 on this same package. The dealer has offered me the car for $41,013 and freight + PDI is included (which saves me around $2200). The dealer won't move and my skills for negotiating have been exhausted.

Considering I live in Canada, is this reasonable?

Becks,

Since they don't want to budge on the price, see if you can get them to throw in extras, like a 7 year gold preferred plan or something else.

I found the 09 max I wanted and when I saw it in person, I was surprised it had paddle shifters, it wasn't mentioned in the summary. It was 3.5 SV Premium + Technology Package, not sport pkg. The salesman said they all have paddle shifters. My question is can I get the prem & tech pkg. without the paddles? Internet price $34,650

I think you probably could do it as a "custom package", but I believe it is auto included with either the Premium or Sport packages......Dont think it would make much of a difference though.....

The paddles are absolutely standard on ALL Sport and Premium '09 Maximas. I'm sure you could not order the Maxima with Premium package from the factory without the paddles. My wife has tried such things as ordering vehicles without stripes that were part of a package, and even though the dealer would say it could be done, the order always came back rejected.

Even if this were possible, there would be no savings in price, and you could easily end up paying more for a special order vehicle.

You could pay some knowledgable person to remove the paddles after you own the car, but they aren't in the way of regular driving, and you never have to touch them if you don't want to.

It would cost you money to have someone take them off, and doing that might possibly affect your tranny warranty. Also, a Premium without paddles will get you less on a trade-in when the time comes.

I would urge you to take the car with paddles, and just ignore them.

Thanks, I was just surprised, thought I knew this car so well, and it certainly won't deter me from buying. Kinda of like the interior color light-seems so simple to get the winter frost with the frost interior. The car is worth it regardless.

Juli.

At some point, you will be tempted to "play" with them.

Does anybody know what kind of bulbs are in the front, rear, and side mirror turn signals? How do you replace the bulbs in the side mirrors?

I bought my 09 about 60 days ago, very happy with it. It is Black on Black SV with the technology package and the sports package. It has a lot of power but could be a little bit better off line. Otherwise it is super comfortable, the controls are very intuative and I love the multiple media access that it comes with. Single CD, 9GB hard drive, Flash card reader, iPod connector, Video and Audio connections and you can record to the 9gb Hard Drive right from any CD that you insert into the player (as long as it's in CDA format). I love it, I wish it got better as milage but for all the comforts and power I will take the 23 mpg that I get. I only have 2100 miles on her and wonder why I was driving a VW Golf for so long.

Sounds awesome...I got the same car - the tech package. They didn't have one on the lot and saving 2 grand sounded good to me....ofcourse now I wish I got the tech, but I'm ordering a nuvi 850 to get over it. haha!

Awesome car for sure...sport package really makes the car. I could have gotten a tech+premium they had in the showroom but to me the sport package was more worth the extra cash.

I was too cheap and too impatient...they didnt have a sport + tech on the lot so I went with Sport to save a couple $$$.

I just checked the forum faq, but did not see anything on there in regards to posting pictures, but I'll double check again.

By the way, is there a minimum post count, before one can post pics?
Thanks...

I bought my 09 Max SV Dark Slate Sport/Tech package about three weeks ago and I can't stop looking at it or wanting to drive for any excuse!!! I absolutely love this ride, I had the windows tinted during the buying process and had it done before I picked it up. I had the front windows at 35% and all the rear at 5% Limo tint, she looks sick!

I also added an upgrade to the audio system I had a JL Audio 500/1 amp from my previous vehicle with two JL 10 W3's but I sold the two 10's and added one single brand new JL 12 W7 in a ported box in the trunk. I added Hush Mat which is like Dynamat to the entire trunk compartment and I can't tell you that the entire system is awesome and slams. I am only going to add two more options to my new baby: first I need to get a remote start alarm system added, had it on my previous vehicles and I got spoiled having the option, as well I live in Missouri and it gets both VERY cold and hot in the respective seasons. Second I am going to add a serioius set of Deep Dish 19" or 20" rims to my baby during the Summer. Other than that it has every other option I need already stock like bluetooth and NAV the list goes on!!!!

Once I reach the 15 post requirement I will add pictures of my ride and the audio setup that I have installed!!!

I've trying to look up any feedback on Bose system in SV premium maximas

Most of the reviews says its good..but nothing much about it. but some of the reviews says its noisy from the trunk..is it true?? can someone throw some comments on the sound system???? pls

when I was test driving it...I felt great sound from sitting in the front..especially those center channel concept works really well!!! but in a youtube review video they say the sound getting lost from the center channel...I dont know if they realize not much cars have a center channel at all???

how about music from the back..I felt the quality of sound is less compared to front and I dont feel much sound out of the back door speakers but thats the case from most of the cars!!! I guess. still its cool..I loved it.
appreciate any comments on this. Thanx

The Bose system is great....I mean I don't put it up higher than it should be...if you want a HUGE booming system you have to do aftermarket (and I've had a custom 3k system years ago) but the bose is clear clean and solid.

Bose system is awesome, best stock system I have veer had, i previously had a 07 Maxima with bose which was awesome, but this system beats it, very bassy, you have turn the bass all down, especially if your into hiphop/R&b/Reggae....

honestly just go down to the dealer and listen for yourself...

I am noticing that mp3 discs are a lil more glitchy, kinds of skips sometimes, which I never had a single problem with in my 07 Maxima with same exact cd. But I have not tried audio cd's yet, but I am going to do a bunch of burning so I can copy to hard drive in car..

The Bose system for the 09 Max is one of the best stock systems that I've ever heard.

I haven't yet sat in the back to listen to it, but when I am driving, it feels like you are at concert as far as clarity is concerned.

go to www.edmunds.com and configure your maxima any way you like, at the end of configuration, the web site will tell you MSRP, Invoice and some other price.
From my calculation:
Totally Loaded SV Sport + tech + delivery (plus splash guards, mats and trunk organizer) is $34,325 invoice/$37,735 msrp
Totally loaded SV Prem + tech + delivery (plus splash guards, mats and trunk organizer) is $34,976 invoice/$38,485 msrp

The stock radio is average. I do not like that most of the sound comes from the center channel and there is no adjustment for it. It makes music sound hollow. The only adjustments are bal/fade/treb/bass. Pretty lame on an otherwise FANTASTIC automobile.

Yeah, the stock radio in the 09 (imho) is worse than the 07.

THO I do like some of the new features...

Got mine last month. Once I made up my mind to get one, I got impatient. They didn't have a tech package alone on the lot so I took one without it.
Also read that Edmunds review that trashed the Sports Package handling so I didn't get that (big mistake). I ended up with a Radiant Silver SV, bluetooth, splash guards, they threw in a spoiler, only 8 miles. $30,300 + Tax.

I do suffer from nav envy, but a steal of deal on a Garmin 850 helps to get over it ($599.00 at Circuit City. They matched WalMart's on-line price).

At that price, tech package or not, I can't help but to love my car.

Thanks.
I have used a 1GB Compact Flash card in the system and it works with no problems. I just drag and dropped the .mp3 files into the flash drive (keeping directory integrity) and they show up automatically when the Compact Flash selection is made. Loading of the songs is instantaneous.

But now that I was given an old iPod (busted screen, but works through the interface) I haven't used the flash drive.
