OK, Who Bought One? What do you think?
Just got mine on Saturday. Super Black Premium w/Tech.
Sad thing is it rained cats and dogs Sat and Sun here and on Monday I had to fly out to IL on business so my brand new car is sitting in my driveway just waiting to be used.
There is so much on it I havent had a chance to really play with because of the rain. Still havent used the shifters, still havent taken it above 75 mph (damn rain).
I got up on Sunday at 8:30am and just sat in the drivers seat for an hour playing with all the tech options.

Just bought mine tonight! 09 Slate SV with Sport, skipped the tech after messing with it. It was basically either Tech OR sport for me...and I decided I could do without the tech package. Nav is too easy to buy for 200 bucks...couldn't see adding the money. The sport package is AWESOME. Pick it up tomorrow...

lee3up1 - I'm an old fogey who isn't really into replacement wheels. Having said that, you better not leave your Maxima with those wheels unguarded near my house, unless you want to find it up on blocks the next morning.
I love the Max...took delivery of an 09 SV +Sport and man is it one SMOOTH car. The ride is tremendous, the luxury feel of the sport package is amazing. I can't get over the smooth ride and the feel of it. Awesome car for the price.
I think I have figured out my last rattle problem. The dealership fixed the loose console problem (it still wiggles but isn't as bad) that I posted about previously but they could not find the other rattle I was hearing.
Turns out it was something loose in the roof near the sunroof. I poked around a bit and I haven't heard it since. My car has a lot of give in the ceiling and I can push up quite a bit on the ceiling fabric. Anyone else notice this? There is also a big gap between the ceiling portion and the rear window. I can almost stick my finger in the gap.

I probably did not make that post very clear. The reason lee3up1 will find his car on blocks with the wheels missing is because those wheels will be on MY Maxima. I didn't mean to give the wrong impression they would be stolen by others. I live in probably the most heavily policed county in Georgia. Perps from Atlanta know to never come here to commit a crime. How does 10 years in prison for stealing an ice cream cone sound? Granted, an appeal reduced it to one year, but . . . My wife sat on a jury that found three first-time offending teen-agers guilty of trying to sell drugs to an undercover agent, and the judge gave each 30 years hard time.
I meant my remark to simply mean I REALLY like those wheels.
Ok the wife and I are ready to get a new 09 maxima (premium+tech).
Our story - we will buy one versus leasing one for the following reasons:
1) wife feels she must absolutely pay it down and own it
2) she bought her last maxima and paid it off in 5 years
3) we've had our 97 maxima for 11 years so we're use to having the same car
4) we don't drive much - ave 6k/year so 12k/15k leases are overkill
We know the financing payments will be higher than leasing but curious if they're running any low interest incentives.
Done a lot of research and have questions:
1) We're ready to put down around $10K down payment. Will a large down payment help in negotiating down the price or really only influences the interest rate?
2) From my research it appears, that a good deal these days is ~$34.5K for the premium+tech package and a great deal is anything less than that; Would you agree with that?
3) If we're flexible in the color, would that help in negotiating a better price since we're more likely to take a car on lot versus getting a car transferred from another dealer? How does on-lot vs off-lot work in negotiations?
4) It's beginning of October now, when is the best time to buy this car? We can wait it out for a few weeks. I've heard it's better to buy at the end of the month or end of the quarter. I'm assuming it's a calendar quarter.
thanks in advance

Radiant Silver, Charcoal Int,Sport Pak, Nav Pak, Wheel Locks, Flr Mats, Trnk Org and Splash Grds
I used the Internet for my bidding wars. I had (5) dealers working for the sale. It came down to (2) dealers, the best deal came from the first dealer online but the dealer around the corner came close but no cigar. Funny dealer #2 came to me with a price of 41K out the door. I came back a day later with my laptop in hand with prices and told him that the price was crazy... When I showed him my email quotes he came back with a great offer but still not the best. Anyway I bought my Max from the Biggest Dealership in the Harrisburg, PA area... Online Salesperson Great... Are you ready for this price? $36,500 out the door, all the above options with taxes and title...........
Make them work for your money.......

I Luv Mine!!
Went from a 2007 350z to the 09 Prem+Tech Maxima! Luv It!!!
The Max is smooth and comfortable when you stay off the gas and runs like a bat out hell when you put your foot in it!! Very classy car, but very sporty too!

has anyone had problems with their tints? i'm hesitant to tint the windows. i've had some issues. the driver side motor blew out due to the added stress the tints put on the motor after a few yrs. any thoughts?
Like Sarge, I've never heard of that either. Unless you had either some unusual fuzzy tinting material, or some special sun-reflective tint material, or tint material with a frictional surface, I don't understand why that happened.
