Is +45mm too high of an offset for an 8.5" wide wheel? I'm looking at 20 and 22 inch wheels. I'm worried that the wheel will sit too far inside the wheel well and look silly. Will likely use 245mm tires. Any thoughts?

imo yea its too high. but you could just use spacers.to make it 40 or 35

Concerned about rubbing though. What would be good, then? 40mm? 35 too low? Out of curiosity, what width/offset are your wheels, and also what tire size?

Thanks

Where exactly is it rubbing? on the inside? Is it bad enough to show noticeable damage on the tire?

Thanks

Anyone have a setup with a 9" wide wheel, 40mm offset, on a 255 tire? Need go determine if that'll rub. What do you all think?

I have 22x9 +38 offset in front with 255/30/22, and they rub a little. I did have to modify the inside fender well. Before i had this set my previous set was 22x8.5 +38 with 245/30/22 and it was perfect, very slight rub, with no modifications.

With the 22x9s and 255s, what exactly did you have to modify? This is a used set that I'm looking at, so I have the option to get 245/30/22 size tires put on them, but I'd only be willing to spend that if it would mean no rubbing. Do you think the 22x9s with 245s would rub?

I have the following setup on my 11' Max:
20” x 8.5” Marcello MT-02 in Magnesium Black w/ Machined Lip
Continental 255/35/ZR20
Eibach Lowering Springs
The front tires just barely make it by the inner wheel well when you turn the wheel all the way. I think the 22" with 255 have a higher center of gravity and that might be why they rub a little.

Debating on whether or not to try on a set of Foose Speedsters I have laying around... They are 20's in chrome... I'd have to buy lugs to use them... Im not a huge fan of a five star wheel on these cars. What do you all think?

^ choice89's Maxima is proof that a 5 spoke design DOES work for the 7th gen Maxima.

it CAN work, doesn't usually, and even choice89's dont really sell me on the 5 star, i think 8-10 spokes is a beaut for these cars

If sticking with a 19, what's the best size (width wise) front and rear and correct offset to have them not sit so tucked under the car?

Was figuring 19x8.5 +35mm up front and 19x9.5 +40 out back.

Lowered with an Eibach pro kit.

Can you fit a 20x10 on the back of these cars? At stock ride height...

Thinking about doing the 20" Giovanna Kilis. 20x8.5 in the front with 35mm offset and a 20x10 in the back if it'll fit but not sure on the offset...

True...i get nothing but complements. Especially at the dealer and random passer by's, on here is the only time i get people saying that they HATE my wheels. Oh well...doesnt matter.

Maybe a bit too tuner looking for the car, in my opinion.

Stock 19's are good but Nissan missed the boat when it came to the offset on them.

i wish they put 19s on all sv's but had a smoke grey or gun metal finish on the sport package 19s.

Your right (I think--not sure what a tuner look is). I saw those HREs in the "pushing the envelope" post with the silver/bronse mix (on the BMW) and liked it.

I know it's been asked before - anyone know the specs on the stock 18's. It may be a pretty light wheel.
