How much did you pay? *New car shopper*
I bought a 09 maxima with the sport/tech package April 1st. 13,121 miles fully loaded (every option for the car) with all options. for 27,990. Dam thing even has the back up camera and the rear window shade thingy that goes up and down.
Coffeguy,
Do you have the double moonroof? If you do, I think you probably have a premium/tech with the spoiler and sport 19s. That is how my 2010 Premium/tech is equipped. I dont think you can get the sunshade in a sport, even as an option. I'm also in OKC.

2009 Maxima SV Sport
Hey guys,
Just traded in my 5th gen for a 2009 Maxima SV Sport Package with 27,000 miles. Before my trade and tax I paid $26,750 which included the certification; 7year/100,000miles, Pinstripe, door/wheel moldings, and wheel locks. The internet price was $27,500 plus $895 cert.
I had a better deal with a 2009 Sport with nav and less miles (internet price $28,000 and talked them down to $27,250) but waited a day to decide and of course it sold that day
but still happy with this one

bobbarker,
yes i do have the double moon roof and the spoiler. It has the 18s on it along with the sun shade for the back window. From what i know it was a lease return. The company that leased it had everything put on it.

Just bought the Max SV yesterday here in FL. Got it for $29,778 after tax, tax, etc. and before my trade allowance (which dropped the price $2,500). I opted to buy the 4yr 100k total protection plan which added another grand, but I am thinking about going back and removing that before the paperwork is filed. Any thoughts on those warranties? I feel like I got fair deal.
2011 SV Sport + Monitor Tech. package, Black on Black, floor mats (carpet & rubber), trunk mat, Emergency kit, Black edge gaurd door protectors and for the wheel wells. Had a sticker of 39,375.00 got it for $33.700.00 plus TTL
2011 Maxima SV/Sport/Tech
I just locked in mine. 2011 White Frost Pearl w/ Charcoal int. SV/Sport/Tech with navigation 19's. Everything but the dual sunroof... 33, 690.00 out the door with 3.9%. Could have gotten 1.9% but took the rebate instead since I plan to pay it off early. Org sticker was 39,990.00. Hudson Nissan Charleston SC with lifetime warranty good at any Nissan Dealer in the Country
Bought a 2009 SV Sport/Tech pkg in Met Silver with 12,600 miles. for 24,988. Thought it was a deal i couldn't pass up. Since i was looking at a new one with the options and color i wanted. Traded my 2001 pathfinder le in on it with 165,000 miles on it.
I sell Nissan's in Saginaw, MI. My new max (second 7th Gen) is a sport package with tech, splash guards, rear sub-floor organizer, and carpeted floor mats. MSRP was $39,430 and invoice is $35,855. Nissan gives dealer employees $1,500 below invoice. I purchased it with memorial day incentives and there were an extra $1,500 in rebates. My capital cost was $32,855. If you are not an employee and get something like this on an identical car then the dealer had to hold money on your trade or something along those lines. I see a lot of people saying they are paying $32,500 for a sport/tech car. Take it from me and understand that's not possible without an additional $3000 in rebates and an invoice deal unless you work for a dealer or work for Nissan or the dealer for whatever reason wants to lose money. If you truly did get that deal and didn't purchase a warranty or anything else for the dealer to make up profit, you are a true pimp and should sell cars. You would make 150K a year if you are that good at negotiating!
Sounds like most of you got a great deal though. Well done to everyone!
By the way, anybody looking for help on whether they are getting a good deal or not, I will be more than happy to run some leases or buy payments with details on the possible sale. I would love to help you guys out and make sure you don't get ripped. There are some nasty dealers out there who will tear your head off if they get the chance.
Good luck!

Sorry for the double post, but one more thing. Anybody using truecar pricing...it's a load of crap. I also ran the internet department and got a lot of truecar customers. Just PM me with information on the car and sticker price and I will let you know what invoice is. If you buy the car for a hundred bucks over invoice plus incentives, you are getting a pretty darn good deal. Remember, dealers need to make a few hundred bucks on a Maxima to keep the lights on...
There is also something called "holdback". The dealer gets this from nissan about three months down the road. On a 40 grand Max it's about 900-1100 bucks. That's how we do invoice deals and still stay afloat.
Again, I would love to help you guys out so you don't get screwed. Just PM me.

Say what you want Max Daddy, but TrueCar did some very heavy lifting for me. I had a $32,500 price last December on a SV Prem/Tech with mats and guards before I started on my trade in. I don't care if it came from rebates that the dealer held or not. Agreed, the Sport will go a few hundred higher, but you make it sound like we're all BS'ing here.
...and welcome to the site.

I just leased a 2011 Nissan Maxima SV Sport with monitor pkg in May.
MSRP: $38030
Purchase Price: $30,644 including $1500 incentive
MF: .00098
RV: 57%
Term: 39 mo
Mi: 12k/yr
D@S: $800 Down + 1 month + DMV +Bank +Tire Tax= $2300
Monthly: $300
And I negotiated 2 yr free maintenance. If I waited till this month, my monthly payments would be $3 less, but oh well....
Also, from my experience how dealers stay afloat, is not only by that incentive dealers get and Marketing fees, but also by ripping other customers off. A year ago, I was getting my brother a Mazda6, the customer next to me was getting the same exact car just in a different color for $2600 above what I was paying.....
Truecar isnt crap, i got my car through them last July from Pine belt Nissan in keyport,NJ. I submitted my info, they called me back went in to the showroom thye next week and drove my car out.
Great deal 6-14-11 - 2011 Maxima
Drove 1 1/2 hours to pickup this deal!
2011 Maxima SV with Premium Pkg, Mats, Splash Guards, Spoiler - Super Black / Charcoal

Final Dealer Price: $32,000
Minus my Altima lease trade-in - my payments are $321 / month for a lease - needless to say I'm very happy and I friggin love this car haha!

Wow, you guys are getting some CRAZY deals. I can't figure out if it's just Internet hyperbole or the real deal.
I'm down in Southern California and I can't get anywhere near your prices. I have a 1999 SE Limited that I love and am keeping but we are trying to purchase a 2011 SV with Premium, Premium Technology, Spoiler, Floor Mats and Trunk Sub Organizer. MSRP is somewhere around $41,000 for this car.
Before just discovering this site I was using the Edmonds What Others Are Paying site. It looked like I could get it for around $36K before taxes and license but dealers here wouldn't hear of it! 38K was the lowest they would go and that was during the Tour D'Califorina $500 rebate on top of the $1500 rebate. So even after a $2K rebate they were still only dropping the price $2K off MSRP!
The other problem is trying to find a car with low miles. I couldn't believe the test drive this guy in Mission Viejo took me on. He absolutely pounded on that poor car - going from 20 to about 70mph on the freeway onramp, showing me how it corners, taking it down a dead end cul-de-sac and slamming the brakes! That car has 89 miles on it and he wanted to negotiate for THAT car!!! I told him NO WAY!
I tried going to Nissan's USA website to check dealer inventory before they even get it as instructed in a post in this thread but I couldn't figure it out. I've tried dealing only with cars they have on the lots. No joy.
Maybe truecar will work for me. It says they are going for about $36K in my area but I'm telling you that's a pipe dream - nobody will touch that. I think part of my problem is that I hate dealing with salesmen so much that I don't sit there for four hours and negotiate - I tell them what I think is a fair price, show them why I feel that way and then when they counter 3K over that price I don't want to sit there for four hours going back and forth. At the cost of about $500 an hour it might be worth my while, however!
One question - how new is new to you? For me it's under 10 miles. My wife says that is crazy and unreasonable. I bought my 1999 Maxima with 8 miles on it and it has been an awesome car despite being in two accidents. I expect to get another 50K miles out of it - and trouble free at that!
Any ideas? Thanks!

I think you are being very reasonable TommyBoy, I got my 2010 with only 18 miles on it, and that was AFTER I took it on the test drive. And if you really wanna get the deal you want you need to spend hours fighting with them lol, thats how it works, They arent gonna come right off the bat with the best possible price, you have to keep fighting with them.
Hey gang, Central Florida, just leased mine.. what a beast.. got her with 65 miles on her.. will post pictures soon.. MSRP was $40180.. with a little down I got the 39 month Nissian lease deal for $450 a month..
This car has everything that Nissian can put in one.. still figuring out all the gadgets, but the performance and comfort sold me, over may other cars in her class..

As for prices, I remember the first few dealers I went to around here, they started off MSRP, and were like "is it good?". I responded, "when most dealers start off at invoice when negotiating cars these days, you gotta be out of your mind to start off at MSRP." and walked.
It's not easy to get a killer deal, even when I got my car, before signing it, I contact 3 more dealers I was in contact with, and everyone was $30 above what I was paying. Negotiating takes time, and you have to sit there for a bit.
Best time to go is end of the month, and not on a wknd. Wknd there are soo many people there, they can careless. Try to go on a wkday, an empty dealership means they want to hit that days quota.
Also, it helps if you don't mind, go around the lot to check on cars and their VIN label on the door. The car that was the oldest on the lot sometimes has more incentives to get it out versus the one that was just unloaded off the truck.

Anyway, you really have to be ready to be there for a few hours negotiating if you want a decent deal. Most dealers don't hit you with their best price because they know there's nowhere to go but down from there.
$24,800
+$2,100 taxes
+$975 shipping from Kansas to Cali
+$700 "Broker" fee
+$600 registration
About $29,175 for a 2009 Winter Frost Premium package + Monitor package with 27000 miles, charcoal interior, and almost 1.5 years left on the manufacturers warranty. Dealer had it listed at $28,900. It was a HUGE pain in the *** trying to find these exact options on a car with some warranty left within a few hundred miles from me, so after 3 months of waiting for one to magically pop up I just decided to have one shipped, since there were plenty to choose from as long as I was looking more than 1200 miles away. Very worth the wait though, I see speeding tickets on my 8-year clean record in the near future =/

Hey guys I'm new to this forum sorry if I posted on the wrong thread. Bought 2010 Maxima SV with cold package. Car was in the show room wanted 35k and bought it for 29k.

Just got my window tint done. 15% on back and 35% on front.

Purchased a 2011 Winter Frost SV with Premium and Premium Tech, floor mats, spoiler and splash guards at a N. Fla dealer. It was the showroom model with 10 miles on it:
Selling Price before taxes, tags, etc....$33,552.
$699 dealer fees.
Purchased the 60 Mo/75K Miles Gold warranty but may take that back. $1500
One the negative side, they did not do the needed changes to take the car out of "lot mode" (a fuse box fix and a fix with the turn signal/wiper arms) and the cruise control is not engaging so have had some issues with it.
