I didnt really need the navigation either, but keep in mind the screen and interface with nav/tech is MUCH nicer then just the color monitor. Color screen w no nav/tech = QVGA resolution (320x240). Nav/tech screen = VGA (640x480).

I figure if I have to look at the thing every day I'm going to spend a little more for the nicer screen and menus....so I got the nav/tech.

I was SHOCKED to receive my $2000 rebate (in the form of a debit card) from Edmunds/Nissan yesterday. So make $32,034 the bottom line for my 2012 SV with sport & tech packages, mats, splash guards, and emergency kit.

I just bought my 2010 SV with premium package - all the bells and whistles, sat nav, paddle shifters, all that stuff - with 16,300 miles on it and all service records for $27,900. I was actually pleased with the price. Traded my last Accord for it, have had it all of 24 hours and am absolutely thrilled. Really looking forward to driving her (I have a 24 mile commute one way).

MSRP was $39899 for a 2011 SV and that is what I paid!!!! You get no deals on a Max up here in Nova Scotia, Can. I had to wait 3 days for it to come from another Province! There was only 2 available in all of Atlantic Canada! If my memory serves me right they only sell approx. 20,000 in all of Canada each year!!

well i had a lease swap from 2009 murano to 2012 maxima. Murano had about 7 months left so i ended up with paying $428 a month, which included wheels and tires insurance in payments.

I tried to use Edmunds as a guide too, but whenever I priced mine out, 2012 Max w/premium and tech packages, it set it at $37174 TMV + $2500 in rebates/incentives. So $32,500 sounds pretty good.

I think I did good too though... 2012 premium, tech, floor mats, splash guards and "$2000" worth of dealer accessory package (pinstripe, which I usually hate, nitrogen pkg, RAINX, tint, clear bra, wheel locks, and some other stuff I can't remember right now). Only thing that was probably worth most of the tag there was the tint and we'll see how this clear bra works out. I hate dealer add-ons, big rip off, but I told the guy I wasn't planning on paying for any of it, and I didn't. I paid about $37,500 - $2500 in rebates= $35,000 @ 2.25% interest/ 6yr

I just purchased my 3rd Maxima on Saturday 5/26. 2012 SV Sport/Tech/Monitor Black on Black. Sticker was ~$42,000, got out of there for $33,700 before tax/tags. My dealer offered about $2500 more for my trade than two other dealers in the same area, so I wasn't going to work on him any harder. They had $1700 in dealer adds like pinstriping, nitrogen, tint, locking lugs, etc.. I got them to remove all of them except the $300 "paint sealant". We split the difference on that one and he added his share to my negotiated trade value. I would have spent ~$300 on tint anyway, so I felt pretty good about it.

This is my third Black/Black Maxima. Love these cars. Lots of soul.

PS Pinstriping=Gone, Dealer Plate Holder=Gone, Dealer Ad on Trunk=Gone.

Looking at an 09, cold package, paddle shift, nav, cafe latte leather at a dealer with 61K on the clock listed for $23,500. What does everyone think about that milage/list price?
I know the 09 had issues with tilt/telescope steering but what else?

I feel like that's high considering mileage. I'd say try and get it down to like 19,500

KBB is around $ 22475, but I was thinking no more than $ 22 if it was in excellent shape. I wish it only had 30K or so, would make it more desireable.

EDIT: Looked at it, put it was not in excellent shape. They already dropped it below 22K list, and I wouldnt give them 19K for it. Front end was all chipped up and the interior looked really worn for 61K miles.

Im looking at buying a 2009 Max, I Think its the sport package because to the 19 inch rims, and a cold weather package because of the heated stering wheel... They are asking $22,995 and it has only 18,000 miles on it and in mint condition... Do you guys think this is a good deal, and is there any other way to tell what kind of trim this car is? thanks

Keep up on the maintenance. My 2002 has 243,xxx and I let the maintenance items slip. Still runs but I'm looking at a long list of wear and tear items to replace.

Just bought a 2010 certified SV, premium package, tech package, navi, backup camera, loaded 24k miles on it. Got the wrap around bumper to bumper extended warranty to match the 100k/7year of the certified for an additional $1100 (they tried to get me to pay $2000 but I wasn't having it).

$25k for the car, $27,288 including ttl. Out the door $28,388.

Thoughts?

Tomorrow I'll be signing papers for the Maxima I just test drove. 2011 Maxima SV w/premium package (sucker for the sun roof(s)) and nav. 15,000 miles. Agreed on $28,500 pre tax, title, license. So excited to go pick it up I can hardly stand it. Never had anything even nearly this nice.

New to the forums--glad to meet you all!
