Bullydog Feedback!! Got questions???
Why are you sad? You said you don't have the Bullydog installed and you're still reaching 7100? How is that possible? If your car can reach 7100 without BD then IMO you probably don't need the BD.
Maybe I'm misunderstanding you but please explain. Thanks

Our ECUs usually take some time for it to adjust to the changes you made, give it another 24-48 hours and then take your car to a place where you can stretch its' legs out (so to say) and then give us your driving impressions.
I really think the benefits of the BD aren't seen until the car reaches its' regular settings; in other words:
If your car redlines at 6500 then you have to get at a speed high enough to see it go past that, it shouldn't have to be that way but for me mine works as soon as I put my pedal to the metal (which is what it's supposed to do).
I didn't get to see my tach climb past 7100 until I was on the highway at higher speeds but now I see it swing up to 7100 whenever I put my foot all the way in it.
You will not feel a difference until you adjust your Idle and advance your Timing on the low end but trust me, once you do adjust both you'll not only feel the difference-you'll hear it as well.
Try going from a dead stop in D mode with your regular settings and then program it with the BD with the Timing Advanced and the Idle raised, I bet you'll know the difference right away.

Drove to work this morning and gave it a quick test. It is set in the Premium mode. This is "my opinion" only! *Driving around town, feels no difference *From a dead stop, feels no different *Even though I set the rpms higher, it does not go above 6200rpms *On hwy speeds, it pulls a little harder in Ds mode when you put your foot in it. *Will test the speed limiter later today *"Did not" adjust the timing or the idle. Considering my other mods may be the reason I do not feel a "Big" difference.

I did

Ok, different report now. I just advance the timing +2, now the Maxima came alive!!! Now I can feel the difference, much more responsive and it seems to shift quicker IMO! Did not adjust the idle, no need to. There is no advantage in raising the idle. Let see what happens once the computer adjust completely in a couple of days. Its all good now!
Thanks guys!

Yes, 0-60 was a big difference. I biggest thing I noticed was the quicker shifting!
Let me put it to this way. In Ds mode I could not spin the front tires from a stand still. Now it lights them up. Will take it on the hwy tomorrow and report back. Over good performance across the power band IMO. Now remember my other mods may have complimented the BD??? In turn giving better / worst results than others.

No problems with anything yet. Tried all the buttons on the inside, so for so good!
Drove it to work this morning, and differently an improvement. Its not my imagination, it shifts faster! The transition between gears is much quicker. I know the numbers may say different, but I fill the Ds mode seems to be faster and better!!!

Once I got the new download and was able to unlock my unit I jumped my Battery and then did the programming and this is when I discovered that the window (right side) would not go Auto UP.
The point is: whenever you disconnect the battery for an extended period of time some of the features are not immediately memorized by the ECU and you have to reprogram (for lack of a better word) your settings back into the ECU in order for things to work like normal.
And yes, the car is much faster once you adjust the Timing and Idle from a standstill and more of a beast when on the move using DS
After a latter assessment I figured out why my windows didn't go up and down and it wasn't due to the BD Unit, it was because when I initially tried to program the upgrades I had an electronic device connected (something you're not supposed to have when doing this) and it made my programming lock up my ECU and it drained my Battery.

My car feels better each time I drive it especially in DS Mode on the move, my nephew was riding with me and he didn't realize that my car was a CVT and he had driven the 08 Max and couldn't tell.
He told me he hated the CVT right before I revved it up for him, now he is a new Convert and wants an 09 Max
Yes, I did yesterday but today I got another email from him saying that the codes/numbers I gave him were close but not what he was looking for.
Looks like I'll be at it again when I get off work.
I'll update you all later.

Man I really want to get one of these but just don't know if it's really worth it yet??? I mean I have already went the distance and upgraded the intake and exhaust why not get a tuner right??? Waiting for more posistive feedback I guess and maybe a few more options!!!
yea same here i want that wot remover out before i buy anything
I advanced mine today at the stealership (I shouldn't call them that after today, it was FREE) They used the new consult 3. It took about 15 min since my engine had to cool down before they could make the adjustment. I did do the the throtle positioning reset, air/fuel adjust and idle adjust. The computer just reset everything based on the *2 degree advance. The biggest thing I noticed so far is the 0-40 response is a lot faster. I'll report more later as I get used to it. The CVT tranny is hard to get used to for me, but it seams so damn quick now//
