Getting into those lights was pain:

Cool Hamzer!!! I really like your setup, The yellows & led's really set the car off at night! I see it was a pain to get to the side markers. Im straight with my lights at this point. For the price its a great upgrade. I pulled up last night to pick up the wifey and she was like what the F*** did you spend money on now. I guess she noticed! hehehe

I just had to post here. Maybe some of you can buy these vleds reverse leds I have. They are very good.

My 6000k low beams and 6000k fogs from Max Power...

19 smt vleds (6000k) reverse bulbs, I bought for $59.99! Kind of pricey. Price just went up again to $62.99, lol. But they are worth the sacrifice. If you wish to purchase, look for a coupon online and save yourself $9. Here are pics of mine.

I hope you got the same as mine. Anything else, you might not be as pleased as you would be with these.

Yes, make sure you check. Those are the best reverse led lights I have seen so farf. The vleds 19 smt (6000k) reverse leds. Really awesome!!!

8000K is bluer than 6000k, but you'll get more visible/usable light with the 6000k

I have the 6

6000k headlights and fogs on a white max is the way to go, 8000k if you want blueish white. 6000k looks good on white max.

hey guys..i just got my new maxima..7th gen. I did some reading and im still a little confused. Can i use the 55w conversion kit, will it damage the lights? and also do i need to buy relays or the "plug n play" kits all i need?? Please check out the 3 links and let me know which one would be good to buy without having to re-wire everything. Thanks

Cutting factory wires is the worst thing to do if u care about ur warranty
If u have any electrical problem and they see the cut that's what they are gonna blame it on

So, if I get my foglights re-wired so they work w/o having the headlights on, that can void the warranty?

If it's done cleanly and the wires are wrapped back together like stock, I can't imagine your warranty being voided. I would like to know how it can be done before I consider it. Need a wiring diagram to figure out how the relay is set up I guess.

I heard its a pretty simple procedure, and it would look amazing with those yellow fogs u have. Btw, Do those nokya bulbs have a good amount of yellow to them in person?

Yes, I am very happy with the yellow. It's not one of those barely different than stock type deals. It's YELLOW. If someone can give the procedure, I would love to do it - lease or not - just do it cleanly.

Nice, looks like im buying a set soon, they're only 20 bucks so its def worth it. Im waiting for my friend to get back to me, to see if he can do it on my car, I'll keep you posted, or maybe even put up a DIY if I can get it done.

I'm considering using H9's to replace the H11 low beams and have been wondering why Nissan didn't use H9's in the first place considering the output. I realize that H9's have a shorter lifespan than the H11's, but by how much? Am I going to be changing bulbs every 6 months compared to every couple years?

If the bulbs were easily accessible, this wouldn't be an issue, but unfortunately this isn't the case. I'm trying to determine a benefit versus PITA factor.

Hi.

I just did my lights today. I replaced the OEM HIDs with 8000k and did 3000k HID kit for the fogs.

I would post a pic but i'm new here and don't know how to.

you will be WAY better off just buying a HID kit; either 6000k or 8000k

I NEED HELP!

Hey guys. So I've been following Umprdu's walk through on how to install HIDS. I basically have the VVME kit, the digital slim balast, and the two open wires which need to have a connection made for plug and play.

So today is where I had my problem. I went in to installt hem and realized that the bulb doesn't screw in. All I have is a rubber grommet from VVME. How the heck do I get the bulb to stay in? Did I order the wrong piece?

Please help, I'm jonesin for these things to work! Pics below of the rubber piece.

OMFG. In response to my above post I must say I'm the biggest dumba$$ in the world. I think I ordered the wrong bulb. I ordered an H1 HID bulb and harness instead of H11

What makes this even more painful, is that I made the same mistake before...I once ordered the D2S bulb.

So now I have two sets of bulbs and harnesses that don't fit my vehicle!!! Ugh.

DOes anybody know how I can fit the H1 into the H11 socket? I really don't want to waste more $$ on the bulbs.

Thx ahead of time

when you get the H11, you can cut the rubber piece off and throw away

you can buy regular bulbs for those, but they will not be nearly as bright as an HID kit would be (also not sure on the exact color match). Saying that, you can get an HID kit for each of those. I would skip the high beams though as they are rarely on and who sees them anyway.

I got 2 sets (low beam, fogs) from xenith xenons (6000K & 3000K) and they were $100 & $105. There are cheaper and more expensive on the market

I just looked up the site and they are on sale for $80 http://www.xenithxenons.com/

Compilation request

I have a 2010 Maxima SV with tech and sport pk. I have the stock HID lights already.

Here is my request does someone have a list that they could put out for everyone that shows what lights and part #s and such one would need to replace all the exterior lights to LED. IE: Park(front and rear), signal(front and rear), side marker, reverse, mirror lights and so on. Also I am trying to figure if I should go with LED for the fogs or get an HID kit for them. I am wanting to replace my interior lights with LEDs also. So in the spirit of being cheap, where could I go to get these things and not spend a large amount of $$$? Finally does anyone know what temp the factory HIDs are? 5k,6k,4k? Any compilation of knowledge is appreciated. Im sure there are others in my frustrating position of being overwhelmed with too many sources and websites and different wattage and temp and do you need relays or how do you put in the balasts....... you get the idea. lol. Please any input is very welcome. Thanks guys.

just go to this one
http://www.vvme.com/single-beam-hid-...-44_45_24.html

if you will drive for long time in the dark, just stick with 35w HIDs to fit to projector headlights.....plug-and-play, no need of relay harness...

the relay harness is to fix some issues of flickering and prevent ballast overload due to high temperature, power spike, and irregular voltage.

so you really want a 55w HID , just order HID kit with a relay harness to hook up the ballast....otherwise there might be some problems of melting housings or ballasts...

considering the issue of compatability, you'd better choose a whole HID set for hi/low and fog beams....

Hey guys I've been reading through this massive thread and obviously am interested in installing hids in my headlights and fog lights. I saw an h11 hid kit on ebay, can you guys confirm that these will be plug and play.. also should I install relays? I found a link on ebay for about $8 for a set. Also do I buy the same hid kit for the headlights and fog lights? I would prefer a PNP kit so any other recommendations would be appreciated.
