Possible Borla Exhaust System
Alvin emailed me to call him, haven't had a chance yet but will reach out to him. I'll let you all know tomorrow what the plans are. I think if this does happen I'll be dropping off my Max for a few weeks.
IT'S OFFICIAL A BORLA EXHAUST IS BEING DEVELOPED - I'm dropping my car off at Borla on 6/7, they said it will take 2 maybe 3 weeks to complete. I'll let everyone know more as I get updates.
i love you...finally a REAL exhaust not stillen garbage...sorry for the harsh statement but i feel like stillen did a great job with everything BUT the exhaust. the one they have out is by far the worst exhaust I have ever seen
Yes!! I am excited as well as many i'm sure about this news. Held off on the stillen as well. Wonder how many options Borla will give for the 7th Gen Maxima. If it sounds like the Borla's 370z exhaust I'll be a happy camper. Now it's all up to pricing hmmm..
This is Alvin from Borla Performance in California. We are excited for the Maxima community and look forward to this development. Thanks in advance to KILLAKAM & MAXLOVERAZ for their help in making this happen.
We plan to offer a louder-than-stock system without cabin resonance (aka drone). I can't for sure that we'll have offer both rear-section or cat-back. I can say with our previous 350/370Z experience it will sound aggressive at WOT. For those asking about the Borla ATAK, keep in mind that ATAK uses our patented multi-core technology, incorporates more components, requires more engineering, and adds cost.
Stay tuned for future updates!

For all of you that decided not to go with the Stillen system that is a very very wise choice. From my experiences with them I have got to say there CS is horrible and they lie about their products to protect themselves.

Any idea what the exhaust tips will look like? I hope they're similar in size and shape to our stock ones. What do others think? I want them to fit the wells properly. Wasn't a fan of Stillen's. Can't wait for this product. keep us posted!!!
if your so worried about exhaust tips and not the sound and or performance of the exhaust.. just stay factory!!!!

I suggested to them a while back that they stay at least somewhat close to stock so hopefully they use my suggestion. But like everyone else says the tip are not the most important thing..
