"Wear?" What Wear? Seriously, it still looks new (maybe because it was replaced about 8 months ago in an effort to fix my Climate Controlled Seat!)

Bump for an old thread. Just curious if you are still driving the same car and how are the seats holding up for you. I am looking to get into a Maxima as a DD and have found an 09 with about 55K miles on it with the leather I am interested in. Any updates on yours would be cool.

Now up to 185,000 miles. Nothing really new to report other than I did have to have the front fender replaced after a suicidal raccoon ran out in front of me a few months ago. Standard mats get replaced about 1 or 2 times a year. Had Fans (radiator) go south about a year ago (sounded like a freight train.) Since I had the front seat replaced about 18 months ago, no more problems with the Climate Control seats. At 100K I replaced the plugs (they looked new,) just standard maintenance really, wipers every 6 months, Oil every 5K, CVT drain and fill every 50K. Had to replace the bulbs for the license plate.

Brakes are still fine, but if I have one "gripe" it is the power adapter/Cig lighter in the center tends to collect moisture and gets rusty (pretty humid here in Fl.) I have to take emery cloth to it once in a while to remove the rust so my phone will charge!!!

Thanks for the reply LtLeary. Just confirms that with proper maintenance these cars should last quite a long time.

Pretty nice.... I'm wondering how does your front look I'm in Fl and I will be doing about 4K miles a yr on I95. Can you post a PIC of the body? I'm guessing if there was damage to the windshield from rocks there would be damage to the hood etc... Unless you got the clear protection!

Shiaaat a Max will go a few hundred K with proper maintenance with ease, when i sold my 89 Max to an Ex co worker it had 209K on it 6 yrs ago. Her son is still rolling it to this day without a major engine repair!

Thanks for the reminder, yes I have had my windsheild replaced 3 times so far from the detritus churned up on the turnpike and I4. Probably will again soon as a few chips have appeared lately. Body is still fine but for the dent on the trim "I PUT" when I drove off with a DP on the roof when she was 3 days old. And of course the "love bug" scaring!

One of the reasons I decided on the Maxima was how reliable they are. There are several sales people where I work how have put upwards of 300k on their Maxima's over the years. The engines in these cars are amazing.

That is awesome to hear. How has your ownership experience been as far as maintenance has gone. Has the car been pretty reliable?
