2009 maxima factory remote start problem!!!

Ok I bought a used 09 maxima sv premium package.the car has remote start because when I push the lock button twice on the key it starts...but the issue is it won't turn over it just cranks.does anyone have any ideas or solutions for me?thanx

no idea bro, take it back to the place you got it and ask them to diagnose it. there is no factory remote start on the 7th gen so that must have been added aftermarket

The car doesn't detect the key, try to sit in the car and hit the lock button twice, it should crank and start...

Just tried the key in the car starting and it still just cranks

Yes he is hitting the lock button on the factory remote. He has an aftermarket remote start that is linked to activate when the door locks pulse two times.

Thanks all gonna take it to the shop today and figure out what alarm system is installed to I can get a remote for it I guess...thanx for all the input

Did you ever figure out the problem? I have a 2009 that does the same thing.
