Haze on winshield

Hey guys. I bought my Max used and it seems like the previous owner used some kind of waxy treatment on the window. Now it's just streaking like crazy. How would I go about removing this?

Try isopropanol. Mix it at 50%-70% to water and just rub the windshield with soaked paper towels. If that doesn't work, you can resort to a glass polish. Gtechniq makes a great glass polish.

Zaino makes some good glass polish too. use it on the outside and then use some Rain-X anti-fog stuff on the inside that should help clear it up and keep it clear

Hopefully he wasn't using a "Windex type" cleaner on tinted windows. You don't want that kind of streaking!

You may need to change your wiper blades as well cause the old ones may have got contaminated and will basically re-apply the crap you just spent time cleaning off.

great point!

also something to note, simply leaving too much glass polish/cleaner on your windshield can cause it to haze/fog up. after i used my Zaino polish I guess I left too much on there cause it hazed up the next couple days until i took a microfibre cloth and "buffed" the window again cleaning it off

I have the same problem. You need new windshield blades. I recommend the new Michelins...Go to Pep Boys and they should be able to tell you the exact ones.

And if there is any type of haze after that..I believe that those who smoke in the car overtime have this weird effect on the glass windshield..like it would fog up randomly at times. After I changed the glass, no more issues.

X2... on new wiper blades is what first came to mind for me as well. Old ones can cause streaking like that and eventually start scratching your windshield.
