DIY Pads/Rotors Replacement?

Hey Guys,

I decided to save myself about $400 and swap out my own pads and rotors this weekend. I have done it before on older cars (pre 2000's) but haven't done it on a newer car before. Is there anything you guys can think of that I might need? Or possibly extra steps I should be taking?

Ended up taking it to the dealer. First Torque nut I tried to take off on the caliper mount was seized. Thanks Canadian Winters :|

Thanks GHOZT... I will trade you them for the sequential tails lol... You were right the rears were a pain that why I am glad we did those first... After loosening that bolt trimming the dust shield was the next pain in the ***... But I learned a lot glad I tried it and feel way more confident in doing the fronts soon as the weather get right...

Nice to see others do their own maintenance as well. No one I work with changes their own oil, much less replace brakes.

we're few and far between but we're here. before 2 years ago i was paying for all my maintenance, now i do my own oil/trans fluid/brakework. it definitely takes some time you have to set aside but i like knowing that the job was done right.

This is key! It might take me just a little longer than if I were to take a vehicle somewhere, but at least I know it was done right the first time.
