Stream Audio via Bluetooth
Stream Audio via Bluetooth
First post back, hey yall! On to business.
I haven't really been able to find a definitive answer to the question of streaming audio via Bluetooth in the forums.
I just purchased this module from Amazon, it says on Amazon with or WITHOUT satellite radio but the instructions say it needs a SAT button. Does anybody know for sure whether or not it will work? Thanks.
Amazon.com : USA Spec BT45-NIS Add Bluetooth® to select 1999-2014 Nissan vehicles with or without satellite radio : Car Electronics
I promise I searched the forum, this is what I came up with.

Hello,
I also just joined recently am closing a purchase on a 2010 SV w/ the Premium package on Monday. I too, am looking for a non invasive solution that will permit bluetooth audio streaming through the car's sound system (not via my cell). I found one thread that said a premium package only (non-navi) 09 or 10 (have to find it again to be sure they clarified the year as this could make a difference in capabilities) is able to stream bluetooth audio via a Y adapter to RCA cable. Per the post 3.5mm end was plugged into the Android headphone jack and the red and white plugs were connected in the center console. You still have to charge the phone via the USB port in the console. They claimed they were able to stream Pandora, etc.
I am going to attempt this sometime next week.

After doing some more research I found out that "Factory radio must have SAT, XM or Radio/CAT/CH buttons" mine does not, so now I'm on to a different solution.
So there's this

and this

Supposedly this will allow your phone to interact directly with the factory stereo, steering wheel controls and all!

I bought the black web at walmart for 22 bucks. Plugs in to the aux input and then you can run a power cord to a charge adapter with usb. Works well easy to pair cheap and effective. To answer your question no you cant use the maximas bluetooth to stream music. It is only set up for call audio. You can however have you phone connected to 2 bluetooths at the same time one for call and one for media. Ive done it with my maxima and the music will stop when i receive a call and resume when i hang up. Thats why i bought this no real wiring cutting or anything needed just plug and play.
