Fog lights and pass headlight issue

hello all, my fog lights and passenger headlight suddenly went out, also the high beam on the passenger headlight
driver side headlight works fine. Checked the fuses and they seemed fine, I replaced them and still nothing. Any input/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanx in advance

Need a little more information. Model and year of car, mileage, OEM or third party lights, HID's, LED, or Halogen. Someone with electrical experience will help.

I would give you similar advise as I gave another person with headlight issues.
https://maxima.org/forums/7th-genera...eadlights.html

Section EXL of the factory manual should help you out. The circuit diagram for the headlight is on page EXL51, the fog lamps are on page EXL71. http://www.nicoclub.com/FSM/Maxima/2009/

I would keep things simple. Just look at the head lamp low beam circuit. Is there power going to pin 1 of the low beam headlight? If yes you may have a bad ballast or Xenon bulb.

If you do not have power to your low beam then try swapping the two 15 amp low beam fuses.

Make sure you are getting 12VDC at pin 1 and ground at pin 2 of the headlights. If you have a voltmeter you can compare you readings on the good side with the bad side.

I believe the four headlight fuses , 15 Amp for low beam and 10 Amp for high. And the high and low beam relays are located in the fuse box in the engine compartment.

Forget about the fog lights, once you get your headlights working properly the fog lights may do the same.

How did this problem come about? Just out of the blue? Did somebody work on the car?

Seems pretty unusual that your low beam and high beam would go out at the same time and only on one side of the vehicle. I would suspect an issue with the connection at the headlight assembly.

Ok so a lil update. Put new fuses on and the pass headlight keeps blowing the fuse immediately, I even saw a lil smoke from the headlight so today I checked the bulbs thru the wheel well and everything seems ok. I’m still working on the low beam cap cover cause I can’t get that SOB out. It just turns and doesn’t come out and I don’t want to pry it out
I wanna see if the igniter burned. Does anyone think this might be the issue, a bad igniter and bad ballast? Please advise. Thanx

Disconnect the connector at the bulb/ ballast, if the fuse does not blow when you try and turn the headlights on it means those are shorted and causing the fuse to blow.
