2010 maxima starting problem

I recently purchased a 2010 maxima for my daughter, I haven’t had any problems until now. The car shut off going down the road, upon investigation I found part of the belt to be broke. I had it towed home so I could replace it but now it won’t start. All the lights in the dash come on when I push the start button but it won’t engage the starter. Any ideas on what I’m missing? All the fuses are good, brake switch good, steering lock good. I need help

Did you check both battery terminals? Are they corroded ? check that Neg cable.. NIssan has a history of the ground side rotting... Make sure battery is good and the connections are tight and not corroded first.

What is the voltage at the battery? Do you have a Multimeter? Seems odd, just replacing a drive belt, would cause the car not to fire....

Well.. without looking at the car.. its hard to really properly diagnose the issue... Might sound like a odd question.. is the car is park? lol.. Sorry have to ask....

Sounds like the steering lock module failure. Nissan has an open recall for 2009/10 to pull this thing out.

yeah I put it neutral and tried to start it. It sounds like a relay or the starter clicks a few times then the fans come on

I suppose the recall was done on it because the lock has been removed

Follow up on 2010 Maxima Starting issue after frayed belt...

Hi guys: just had this happen to me, where car shut down, and inspection revealed a frayed serpentine belt. Replaced belt, but now it won’t start.... what was the resolution on the OP? Thanks in advance....

Check for a short. The belt whipping around may have exposed some wires.

I need help with my 2010 Nissan Maxima, car won't start googled all the DIY fixes and tells me to tap on the steering wheel lock box to get started and then remove the fuse.....well box is gone and so is the fuse........so what do I do now? Seems like a safety issue not allowing the car to start. Any ideas on this one?????
