Hi,
If gear selector on N, released brake and parking brake, and car starts to roll forward slowly (small downhill), will put wear and tear on tranny if shift to D?

No. Too many heads would roll at Renault if it did.

I'd put as little shock on these cvts as possible. Only shift at barely rolling while parking speeds or full stops.

Technically yes, but not much more so than normal wear and tear. It isn't as bad as push starting (40mph and then putting in gear) but you should always drive with your car in SOME gear for safety sake!

Engine>torque converter>CVT. Engaging into the forward gear whilst rolling forward in neutral will not harm your car. Not even at speed.

I am thinking around the 60-70K mark. I remember having a heck of a time convincing the local Nissan Dealers that there really was a CVT filter in 2009/10!!! Even the mechanics balked until I showed them the FSM. It was funny though as they had them in stock! I recall the look on their face was the same as when I showed them my fomoco seat filter for $10 when theirs was in the $80-$90 range...for the same perfect fit!

Quite true regarding the impact to the ENGINE as it goes Engine->Torque Converter->CVT->Axles->wheels Minimal impact on the engine. I will disagree that it doesn't cause some impact to the CVT as this is a more a direct mechanical connection between the wheels, axles and CVT. But do agree it is small impact and unlikely to cause the user much, if any grief.
