Winter tire size for the 7th gen Maxima?

For all you snowy climate drivers. I have the 245 45 19s on my car and I'm looking for a winter set. I know that I can grab a 245/45/18 but I'm thinking of going 17"...
I've been looking around for 225/55/17 and I have found a lot of them.

Here is the math I've done http://prntscr.com/q8e5ti
Here is a set I'm currently looking at: http://prntscr.com/q8e7fi, 7-7.5 x17 ET55, 5x114.3. This one was mounted on a '15 Subaru Legacy but I'm pretty sure it will the Maxima too. They look beautiful + I'll plasti dip em.

Is it a bad size to opt for? If anybody tried the size, how was it? Should I avoid the 17 inch and do 18 minimum? I wanted to do the 17 for the price. Its cheaper for me to own 17 new than 18 used.
Every advice is appreciated

I have been running my 2013 SV with 4 Bridgestone WS80 Blizzak's on 17" alloys, the tires are 225/55 R17 97H and I have never noticed any speedometer error - relative to the GPS.

The 17" winter alloy rims were from my Nissan dealer - they had a special deal on at the time, it was a nice looking set and did not require any special centering rings or special lug nuts.

The summer wheels are the standard 18" alloys, and I run Pirelli Cinturato P7 Plus P245/45VR18 - nicest tires I've ever had.
