Where to buy proper CV axle shaft
Trying to find the correct passenger (r/s) axle but so far can only find the ones without a vibration damper on them. I checked the one originally on the car and it has one on it but everyone I see online only driver side has it. Anybody know where to find one that isn’t the dealership? Or has anyone found an aftermarket brand that comes balanced that doesn’t need it? Don’t want to install something that needs replacing again soon or something that’s going to give me vibration issues. Thanks in advance

I'd say new aftermarket shafts won't have the damper.
Maybe a remanufactured original unit could. Have you checked your local parts store?
Either way I don't think it matters a great deal.
What is wrong with yours?

The motor mounts on my wife’s car broke but she continued to drive it without mentioning her car was shaking. I found out by using it one day I replaced the mounts all of them but now the passenger axle took the weight of it all for who knows how long so vehicle is now shaking under acceleration. Could of been due to the broken mounts or it could of happened when I jacked the engine up a ridiculous amount to get the rear mount bracket lined up. Either way I figured just replace it but hers has a damper on the center of the axle the ones I’m finding everywhere don’t.

I purchased my passenger side from Rock Auto and I found it to be great...exact replacement. I bought my driver side from auto zone. Great warranty but thinner material
. Both have been fine over the last 5 or 6 years.
