Big problem??

So i was driving my 2010 nissan maxima sv when i suddenly heard a loud pop noise from the back of the car, so i pulled over but didn't see anything so then when i started driving again i started to hear a tiny ticking noise either on the right side of the car or in the front, and also for some reason i feel like my transmission is not feeling right, i tried manual mode and i still had all 6 gear preset and they work good but it feels like it's less aggressive/grippy. Btw this all happened while i was going like 50 km/h

it is difficult to say what is going on from your description of something going bang the the rear affecting performance.

if really something at the rear, the only thing I can thing of would be a rear brake issue, perhaps the parking brake shoes (yes while the rears look like disc brakes only, they actually use a traditional shoe and drum for the parking brake.) You may want to pull the rear combo disc drum and check it out.

Having said the above, your subsequent complaint of a ticking noise from the front right sounds like the cv is failed or on its last legs. You need to raise the car and get under it to make sure all is well with the front transaxle.

Good luck and please let us know what you find.
