Recently bought a 13 maxima, private owner who did some mods including cold air intake. But I noticed these wires were cut and just hanging around. I havent found anything online about it, and id like to insure its nothing important.

NY thoughts are maybe had something to do with old air box/intake that was removed??

Thanks guys. Excited to join the forums.

The only wire I could see hooked up to my stock air box was for the MAF, and I see you have it installed in you CAI. That wire could have been in you fuse box. Is there a plug on the end, and can you see where the other end goes?

No, looks like they were clipped and black taped at ends. No copper showing, insulation to the very tip.

They seem to lead to the steering wheel area, I can trace it to behind the coil over and thats it. It disappears into fire wall dash area .

Most likely the seller had some aftermarket accessories added, then decided to yank them out before selling.

the CAI is a giveaway that some mods happened.

alarm, added lights, throttle body controller, even a dash cam … all possible.

why not reach out to seller for info?

I don't knowww... they come from dash and have the black plastic sleeve around it like the mani would have put..

Idk maybe I'm tripping. Just took the car on its first 100+ miles trip in my possession today, and it also passed inspection and emissions tests today..
Running normal.

Maybe it's nothing... 🫠

The only final I can say, scan for any codes. If none, “…. Don’t worry, be happy…”
👊👊

trace where it ends, most likely into the fuse box, then yank it out…. Or out of sight, out of mind
