I30 Airbox connection

Does the white plastic Airbox opening under the air intake connect to anything or is it just left open?

i've never ever seen a maxima with it on still
but there's a plastic elbow that connects that to the snorkel.

So #18 is the white air box in the pic I attached and #25 is the elbow connector?

No.

#12 is the white box assembly and #13 is the elbow that connects it to the air scoop #17
