Angry No Start

2009 Maxima push button start
Suddenly car won't start. All dashboard lights come on. ACC, radio and Nav system all work. Been thru all the videos and posts about the steering lock mechanism, brake pedal switch and pulling fuses. Here are the facts:
Replaced car battery
Replaced brake pedal switch
FOB confirmed to work, in and out of the port
Can hear the steering lock mechanism lock and unlock. Confirm steering wheel locks and unlocks
Gear shift dashboard indicator works
"Step on brake" indicator changes to MPG indicator when Start button pushed but goes back to step on brake after about 15 seconds
No starter noises

At wits end. Any Ideas?

I would check battery connections first (clean and tighten) the get the starter checked.

Thanx but already cleaned the terminals when installed new battery. Haven't checked the starter yet but I honestly don' think that's it.

I was rereading your first post and you mentioned you heard the steering lock mechanism lock and unlock. Are you sure its unlocked, or were you hearing the lock motor running. Put your car in the ignition run position and after you hear the motor work the locking mechanism, attempt to turn the steering wheel. If you can turn the steering wheel with some force the locking mechanism is unlocked. If you cannot turn the wheel the lock is still engaged thereby you get the no start.

Possibly a ground issue. Check the battery negative cable down. It'd be helpful to have the BCM and IPDM scanned.
