Hoping to gain some advice, knowledge and insight. About a week ago, my car started stalling in idle, only when the air is running (stalls with ac or heater). When I’m in idle and the air isn’t running, it’s still a pretty rough idle. It’s almost like it’s trying to shift gears itself- bouncing between low and high rpm while moving back and forth a bit. I’ve actually been nervous that it would move itself and rear end a car.

I’ve replaced the battery and the alternator is good. I’ve also performed an idle relearn, with no luck. Based on other forums and rabbit holes, I’m thinking it could be the throttle bottle or IACV. I’m leaning more towards the IACV but can’t find any existence of a 2013 maxima IACV.

Any info you have is helpful! I want to try and eliminate the cheapest possibilities and the ones i can do myself first.

 

The IACV is an integral part of the throttle body. Check the air duct between the MAF sensor and throttle body for damage and air ingress.
