2014 Maxima 87k miles. I have another thread about issues with my alignment I started a week or so again. I wanted to start a new one with this question. I apologize if I should have added this to that post
with the R/H strut disconnected the axel shaft has like a 2 inch play in and out on the tranny side. its like it is not locked into the trany. I know the cv joint itself cant have this play seems a bit much. installed new axel from NAPA 7k miles ago. I would think that this much play would make the camber be way off as the strut really does not seem to hold the suspension moving in and out just up and down and the axel is what is doing more of the in and out holding. please help. this is kicking my but bad.

Did you place both axels side by side to make sure they are alike??

The axel nut (28mm I think), did you torque down to spec?

There’s no need to remove the strut to remove axle

Yes I did. there is a thread I started "alignment issue" that should explain everything I have done so far. thanks
