Has anyone found the part number for the cover plate that replaces the third brake light after the spoiler install?

Spoiler brake light help

I'd spend the money to have the dealer do it unless you have the know-how.

I installed the the SR style spoiler on our 17 S Max last night. After I removed the inner trunk lid liner I found a small brown plug with 2 wires (1-blue 1-grey) on the inside of the lid that is intended for the factory spoiler. I tested and confirmed before anything. Made the spoiler install a quick job. I purchased the spoiler off Amazon painted and ready to go for 109! Was very worried about the quality when i ordered because of the price. But I must say when it came in it I was very impressed. I would highly recommend Spoiler and Wing King on Amazon. Great quality and service. I called to ask about placement and they were very helpful! Hope this helps anyone with questions. And BTW I believe those are replacement torsion bars for the trunk lid to compensate for the spoiler weight. Mine didn't have that but I personally don't think it needs then. JMAC

I have a 2016 SV and my back windows are tinted dark and you can't see the center high mount light from the outside, so I just unplugged it. But, my sister just got a 2017 SV with the Dynamic Package that includes a factory installed spoiler, so her's has the cover plate instead.

Here's a pic showing part number 79966 4RA0B & A, but that part doesn't show up on the current Nissan factory parts website or reference diagrams, so I suspect it's a new process and you'd just have to try and get it through a dealer.

The site courtesyparts.com, gives to me another part number when I search 79966 4RA0B:
.......COVER-REAR PARCEL SHELF - NISSAN (79966-1ET0A), no photo no diagram. It seems that the CHMSL cover plate is part of the whole cover rear parcel shelf....maybe i am wrong, because the price is $22.51......

Please note that the part number provided by Courtesy ending in 1ET0A is not for the Maxima, it is for the 370Z.

So our new 2017 Platinum did not come with a factory spoiler. We would like to add one and have our local dealer install it. Regarding the double brake light situation. If I purchase the cover for it as well with the spoiler. Does the cover just go over the top or do they need to actually remove the brake light piece then pop the cover on?

Also does the Platinum come with the included wiring harness already there? Or does that need to be purchased as well?

Heighten the style of your Maxima® with a streamlined spoiler.

Not Available on SR
Comes pre-painted in factory-matched colors

I seen it. Excellent thanks! I came across the pdf instructions for the spoiler install. I have some reservations about my local dealer installing it and doing it properly. It seems quite involved and there is a part I don't like which is the very last/final step.

Take car to Nissan Dealer to have new torsion rods
installed (parts included in kit).

NOTE:

Special tool required for torsion rod replacement.

Does that mean even more money for the spoiler install or would that be included with the spoiler install? Short of watching them do it. I would have no idea if they actually done it or not.

79966-4RA0A is what you want. A fellow member received and confirmed it was for charcoal interior. The B is for the other interior color.
