Caller ID not working

Does anyone have this problem and is so how did you correct this.

I have iPhone 6 running iOS9.1 . I have noticed that no caller ID info
shows on screen - only number but strange it shows up with a +1 in front
of the actually number. My phone book doesn't have a +1 in any number.
I do recall this working the first 2 weeks I had the car.

I noticed this when the phonebook wasn't sync'd between the phone and the car. Go to the settings for the bluetooth connection on your phone Settings -> Bluetooth -> My Maxima, touch the information (i) icon next to it and make sure Sync Contacts is enabled.

If this is already enabled you can manage the synchronization on the car side under Phone Settings.

I checked my phone and both Show Notifications and Sync Contacts are enabled.
Just interesting that in my wife's 2013 Altima my iPhone and hers work correctly.
I did speak with my dealer and they suggested I call Nissan customer relations which
I did and they then told me to take it to the dealer and have them look at it.
I can live with this for now. Most likely when I go for my first Oil change I'll have them look at it.

Retired the Crappple phone and bought a 50 dollar Windows phone that works flawlessly. Go figure!

Same setup and caller ID works. My only damn issue is that i can receive text messages but cannot send out texts through the infotainment system. Hooked up with a USB cord and still nothing. I believe that with iPhones you have limited capabilities.

I cant even get it to get a text message, is there a trick to this other than having it connected via bluetooth AND USB?

Even if you connect via USB, iPhones don't have near full functionality. It's an apple thing...makes me want to switch to an android. Damn Verizon and their lease a phone crap. I have until November to be eligible without penalty. Hem maybe I should give them a call and see what they can do as I've been with them for almost 15 years

It works for me on 9.3.4 and have had no issues since I purchased my car in June. It takes about 2-3 seconds before it changes to the physical number that's calling so if you answer it immediately, you may not see the number.

You can receive only - not send. This is a limit of the Infotainment system and the iPhone as programmed by Nissan. It may work with Androids but it's not usable now with iPhones.

Ditto.

I have a BlackBerry PRIV (Android Marshmallow) and iPhone 6s (every permutation of iOS 9.x) and the iPhone says "unknown caller" 90% of the time - for both incoming and outgoing calls.

Hey Randy -

I have a 2013 Rogue with the same issue. I bought it in 2015 and the Incoming Caller ID showed name and number of caller. One day I get in the car and the +1 showed up with no name. Outgoing calls display the name.

Did you ever find a fix?

Hi LauraR

No fix. - I been told it has to do with changes apple made to there firmware.
But as I told the person telling me this my wife's car works fine.
