Bluetooth phone connection issue

I have a 2016 platinum which I got within 2 months on the release of the 8 generation. If I stay on a call a long time the other party had problem hearing me when the call lasted 42 minutes or more. Every time at the 42 minute mark this would happen (I have a long commute). At first I thought it was the cellular connection. We would hang up and call back and it would sound fine. Then we tried it where I disconnected the phone Bluetooth and reconnect while on the call and it turns out it was the Bluetooth connection,

I have 2 iPhones so tried it using the other phone and same problem so that ruled out a phone issue, unless it’s iOS. Don’t have an Android so can’t test that theory.

happens rarely on my LG.
sometimes, the BT cuts off during a call, and will never reconnect.
and, the car thinks it is still connected with the call timer still counting.
i reboot phone, stop the car when possible, then reconnect.
annoying.

Bluetooth issues

I have a 2017 Maxima SL and have had issues with the Bluetooth at random intervals. At first I wondered if was my new smartphone, but when I went to reconnect I noticed the Bluetooth button was grayed out in the settings.

Maybe when your signal is handed off from one cell tower to the next the BT connection is interrupted for a microsecond and it disconnects.

I was parked at the time, so it is unlikely I was being handed off from one cell tower to another.

I do not believe it is the phone. I have an S9+ and I get issues. If the Bluetooth is grayed out, it is an issue with the Nissan infotainment centre.
