Has anyone changed their brake and turn signals to LED yet? I keep seeing this on other cars and love the look. Which bulbs did you use, brightness, etc. Have you experienced any issues?

Nope. I may do the reverse lights and then I'm done. For some reason, I thought the brake lights were already LED. Is it just the tail lights?

 

Only the 3rd brake light is LED. There are two separate halogen bulbs, one for the brake and one for the turn signals. Both are the 7440 bulbs. I saw an Infiniti Q50 at an intersection today with the turn signal on and just loved the look. With all the tech in the Maxima, I'm shocked there wasn't LED brake and turn signals already in the Platinum.

 

If you find LED bulbs to use and replace yours, please post the results.

 

Retrofit Source sells white or amber 7440 LED bulbs which I'm sure will work well but are $35 for a pair, so $70 to replace all the brakes and turn signals.

I might do it, since those bulbs are usually very easy to replace.

 

Spidgeon, can you post all of the bulb sizes for the ones you've replaced?

I am most likely getting white LEDs for the first two and Amber for front turn signal, which I did in my Evoque and it worked well.

 

Turn signals I haven't done yet, I'm researching which bulbs to use for that now. If you have suggestions for turn signals, please post. Below are the bulbs I have put in.

Fogs - H16s
License plate - 921s
Reverse lights - 921s

 

Any updates on what size bulb for turn signals? I cant seem to it anywhere online.
