Do we use last years oil filter for the 2016? I cant seem to find anything listed at any store I go to since the car is brand new?

Call the dealership and ask for the Nissan part number, then if it is the same as last years your third party oil filter should fit.

Use a KN 1008 best filter for the car since it's so small you want the extra protection. + getting it off is a breeze.

If you want a slightly larger filter you can use the Nissan 15208-9E01A filter. I have used this one on my '09 Max and my wifes '11 Murano for the past several years. I have not changed the oil on my new '17 Platinum yet but plan on using them. I usually buy several at a time as I drive a lot and change the oil every 5000 miles.
