In cabin filter is $40???????

At the dealer getting oil change and tire rotation! 10k service. Figure I'd pick up engine air filter and in cabin filter for my next 15k service. I can certainly replace both filters. Engine filter - $15, ok. In cabin - $40, WHAT!?!
No thank you....
Where has everyone been getting their replacements from?

Already need a cabin filter? Didn't change mine until at least 30k.

Try Walmart or any auto store and get it for half that price.

Thanks for the replies, found a WIX filter. Had good luck with them before.
$15 and free shipping.

I replace both every 15k weather it looks like it needs replacing or not.
My dealer says, Why would you replace the filter? We'll do it for you.
Yeah..... Not for $40 + labor.

was quoted $69 for in cabin, changed it once at 20k i believe. air filter was $29 i believe just did that at 30k. These are pricey cause they are dealer installed.

The cabin air filter in my 2010 Maxima was real pain to do. Nestled up in the passenger floor by the console. Anyone done the 2016 Max yet. Step by Step?

Thanks

I have looked into it. It looks to be just like the 7th gens, same spot, same pain in the buns.

I had the dealer do the in cabin once, was like $70 but they said it wasn't the easiest to get to. I don't mind having them do cheaper maintenance items like that. its those big package deals that run $400-600 tune ups I stay away from unless I really need to.
