Text messages

So I connect my android phone via bluetooth to make calls, play music, get texts, etc.. Everything works properly except when I send a text, it pops up on the front display and the touchscreen as if I just got a new text from who I sent it to.

Anyone else have this problem? Fix for it?

Same Here

Same issue here. I think Nissan was thinking that you would only send text messages through the car's built in system but obviously if you are at a stoplight then you would just use your phone.

Sort of off topic, but how can you remove the signature from an outgoing text? For example, Sent from MY MAXIMA.

Just checked. Looks like you can disable the signature. I'll try this.

Not for me. I can send from the handset without it prompting me with an incoming message, so is not necessarily a Nissan software issue. I am using Android 6.0 (Marshmallow). I have heard that marshmallow "plays nicer" with Nissan Connect than previous android versions.

I'm on 6.0.1 using a Nexus 5x and Google Messenger, and I get the notifications every time I send one.. super annoying

What are you using? and did you do anything on your phone or in the car settings to turn this off?

It must be the Google Messenger app then - I am using an LG G3 with the LG Messaging app. I didnt make any changes to the phone or the car settings. Maybe try textra or one of the other apps. I hope that works for ya. that must be a real pain.

Using Samsung Galaxy Note 4 (Android 5.1.1 currently) with native messages app and I don't get any notification when I send a text. The only super annoying thing is it reads the time and date on every text message I have the car read to me.

In addition to time and date...if it is MMS with multiple people...it reads every number! So annoying!
