Airbag emblem noise

Hey, I wanted to check the forum to see if I'm the only one having this issue???When I'm driving I hear a very faint rattle, only when the radio is turned down or on the phone. I narrowed down the sound to the Nissan emblem on the airbag. If I touch and apply slight pressure that noise stops. I have taken it to 2 dealers with this issue, which one dealer said they didn't hear it. The second dealer heard it and said that it was the airbag. However, they would not replace it as the airbag is not defective. Has anyone else ever experienced this problem?

I'm not sure what part you mean by the airbag emblem? I've known the steering wheel to make a creaking noise sometimes, but it is just friction around the V shaped plastic parts of the wheel

Yes, this has been discussed previously on this site. Go search. Some say problem was corrected by steering wheel replacement, while one member (I believe) indicated he found the noise right where yours is. As I remember he wedged something along the emblem outside edge groove to correct his problem.

I'm referring to the actual Nissan emblem on the driver side airbag. I also checked out the plastic piece around the V shape of the wheel, but the rattle still persisted.

Thanks Compyelc4! I did a search but only found members having issues with the actual steering wheel. I don't think that's the issue I'm having as I hear the noise even when driving in a straight line; but as soon as I place a finger in the dead center of the wheel on the emblem with the slightest pressure, the noise stops.

I experienced the EXACT problem and my dealer replaced the air bag cover only and the problem is completely solved. There was a prior post that can be found by searching for steering wheel tick for more details.
