Cruise Control Question

I'm pretty new here so I'm sorry if this has been discussed already, I tried searching for it but found nothing. Whats the deal with only being able to set the cruise to 90? Never seen this before but only drove German cars before this Maxima so maybe its a Non-European thing. Any thoughts?

Can honestly say I've never tried that, but if I were driving over 90 I'd damn well want to have my feet on the pedals

132 feet per second. Healthy, alert reactions are, at best, 3/4 second.

I wouldn't put up with that. You have a right to drive over 90 mph with the cruise control activated. Your safety and the safety of others on the road is not your concern. After all, Nissan claims that the Maxima is a "4DSC". Go back to your dealer and demand a new car.

If they fail to give you a new car, drive as fast as you can to Carmax, with your title in hand, and sell that car to them.

You will never be happy with a car that does have a working cruise control at 90 mph and above. Take you loss and move along.

So just to be clear, cruzin' at 89mph is alright by the rest of you, but going 92 all of a sudden we have public enemy #1...

Not that I need to defend myself to somebody on the Internet with an opinion, but I’m on this stretch of road regularly and find it hard to believe you’ve never done more than five over on open highway.

Then I hope with your cruise control set at 89mph you don't run into one of these...https://jalopnik.com/5955182/the-big...ogs-apparently

So I found this statement on the 370 site, just looking to see if anyone talked about a software override, give this a try next chance, if you haven't already tried it:

"You can set it at just below 90, then use the ACCEL button to raise the speed to anywhere you want it and it will stay there. Don't ask me how I know this - ."
