Platinum Bose sound system wattage?

Bose are way overrated, it's just the name. That said, the Maximas sound system is decent for casual listening. Just don't expect to be blown away, I think it must be tuned for certain types of music, like pop music sounds pretty good,. But once you start playing some more sonically adventurous bands, the Bose limitations really start to show

I wish I had a Bose system in my 2018 Maxima. That's one thing that I miss about my 2013 Maxima. I had a Pioneer Aftermarket radio, upgraded speakers and a subwoofer. All of that wasn't crazy expensive (around $1000), but it sounded great. My 2018 Maxima sounds ok, but not anywhere close to that. And im a big music guy. I still love the car though.

My bad Fishlet, you're correct. SL, SR and Platinum all come with the Bose Premium Audio System with 11 speakers, including Bose Centerpoint 2 Surround Technology, Active Noise Cancellation and Active Sound Enhancement. The S and SV come with an AM/FM/CD audio system with 8 speakers.

I saved my 2007 Nissan Altima SL sales brochure. At that time the Bose with 8 speakers was listed as 264 watt. I would imagine it is at least that now.

My 2005 Maxima SL (that I'm still driving, 177K miles) came with a 320 watt Bose: "A number of options and packages are available on Maxima, including a Premium Audio Package, with a 320-watt BoseŽ audio system with 8 speakers and AM/FM/6CD, RDS and speed sensitive volume control" http://nissannews.com/en-US/nissan/u...ma-press-kit-3
