Error Message

Dealer lost our SD card and our infotainment is now stuck on a "Navigation system error" message until the replacement card comes in the mail next week. Anyone know how to get around the error so we can at least listen to music in the meantime? Dealer acted like it was impossible without the card.

I don’t believe it is possible to get past that error. Normally without a SD, radio works but won’t retain pre-sets after it gets turned off by power button or engine shutdown.

But out out of curiosity... what were the circumstances under which the dealer lost your SD card... and how did your radio go from the “normal behavior when SD card isn’t present” to an error state that left it completely nonfunctional?

That almost sounds like firmware corruption.

Purchased the car Wednesday, said they'd detail it for us and I told them I wanted new tires put on it also. Came to pick it up yesterday and suddenly it didn't have an SD card. They came back from service with one and when they put it in, it apparently wasn't the right one and gave this.

I was missing sd card and I found the part # the way I explained before and I was able to find one on ebay for $30.00. Everything works like a charm. I have a 2018 Max SL. And I apologize if I overstep. Thanks

Genuine Nissan Sd Card Map 25920-9DD0C is one that worked for me.

Yes I believe that is the correct way to do it, but that part number i just gave you is very common. Other users are saying you can do it with the VIN number

For me the dealer looked it up by VIN. No need to pull the radio out. I bought card from dealer to ensure most current version. After a few years, though, I suppose some maps become outdated anyway.
