I’ve breezed through the manual but don’t see any setting on how to allow fresh air to enter the car via the ventilation system. Is there a way to do this? Thanks in advance.

There are 2 buttons in the ac controls. The top button she's an arrow flowing from outside under the windshield. You want that one on. The other one with the arrow circling the cabin does just that.

Thanks. I guess my message wasn’t clear. I was wondering if there was a way to get fresh air in the cabin without having the AC system on. I am familiar with the direct and recirculate button. Sorry for any confusion.

There are four buttons on the driver's door near the handle. Push one or more of them. This will flood the cabin with fresh air.

It has taken me a couple of years to figure this out... really. I finally gave up and just used Auto all the time. A couple of weeks ago I was messing around and finally found what works. Depress the "Auto" control to turn system ON. AC will automatically come on (if you are in a very quiet environment you can actually hear the AC compressor energize). To cut the AC OFF for just fresh or recirculated air, reach over and depress the AC button once to illuminate the amber AC function light. Then depress that button once more to turn OFF the AC (crap, just depress it twice :-) ). You may now use the upper vent, upper and lower vents, or just the lower vent... your choice. You may also use just outside air or inside recirculation air, none of which will be conditioned with AC. Viola! To return to conditioned AC air just depress the AUTO control again, at which point the AC compressor should kick on and the AUTO mode will default to lower vent only.

From off press the mode button. Set it on fresh air. You can still control temp as well. Just no fan on.
