So, I've had the 2016 SL for about 4 weeks, and still learning all the things. For instance, when I push the button to turn off the audio, the map appears. When I turn the audio back on, the map is still shown, but audio controls work in the background. I'm not a fan. I've looked around online and looked in the manual and couldn't seem to locate answers to these questions:

1. Is there a setting to just have a black screen (with clock) when its off? That's what I'm used when I had my 2010 Altima.
2. If #1 can't happen, is there a way for the audio screen to return when it powered on, instead of the map in the foreground?

I'd like the map to not really be shown at all unless I tap the map or navi button to use it. This is my first car with nav, so maybe I don't know what to expect.

Thank you for replying. In addition to trying that, I think I'll head over to the dealership and see if they can assist.
