Is this recall only for the 2019 model?

Got mine today in the mail. Mines a 2018 so must not just be for the 19 models. Said the software update won't be available until Jan. 2020

At the dealer now for an oil change. They're doing the recall update for me also. Will let you know if I notice anything different

So it appears the recall is only to reset the brightness camera settings upon every restart instead of having it memorized during the next start up... In which some incidents the users leave the brightness so low that the back up camera is not as visible and that violates safety standards.

Same here. Failed Inspection and R/PL'd ABS unit on my '17 in Nov '18. Hopefully this time it will pass.

My recall notice for a 2018 Maxima Platinum says the software fix for the camera won’t be available until January. Is the recall different for the ‘18’s?

Max2013, no, it's the same. I have an '18 Platinum, got the same notice saying available in Jan, but when I called my dealer this past week to make an appointment in December for my 6 month service, he told me they've been doing this recalls already, can do mine then, no need to wait until January.
