Why does window roll down automatically when the door is being closed while unlocked?

Windows(on the front side) close down if I close the door while it is unlocked.
Why does it do that? Is it a safety feature??

Are you talking about this?
The motion is referred to as indexing. It allows the glass to plant itself firmly into the rubber seal while still being able to quickly detect an attempted opening of the door and pull it back down so as not to tear the seal.

on some cars that have tight rubbers around the windows when you touch and begin opening the door the window will drop slightly to allow door movement ,im not sure if this is what your referring to tho.
The window rolls down 100%. So I don't think it is indexing. Also Indexing is described as "window indexing feature is used to lower the window when the door is opened"
But mine rolls down when the door is closed.

The thing is though, they specialize for ford cars. so I'm not sure how they will handle it
I'd go to a Nissan dealer if you have one even remotely near you, especially for an electrical problem which this sounds like it possibly could be.
Car was taken to Nissan and the issue was as follows : Connecting rod was not attached to actuator. Re/Re Cylinder and lock actuator.
The problem was fixed. However, I have this new issue now after repair(people say not to worry abt it and it is not that abnormal?) - (https://maxima.org/forums/4th-genera...e-pressed.html).
I'm not sure if repairing window had anything to do with that
