Rusty calipers - Front and rear (8th generation)

So I noticed my calipers are getting evenly rusty, front and back, I wonder if this is a common issue in the Maxima's or is just me,I thought about to sand paper and carefully paint them with some kind of anti-rust paint but not sure if will affect performance of the brakes.
Replacing all of them will cost me an eye and a leg....any recommendations?
Thanks in advance

You either live in the rust belt or the OEM quality of brake parts has diminished. For perspective I have a 2009 max with original brakes without a hint of rust. Anyway to your second question you can paint the calipers. There are plenty of Utube videos on doing this. Use hight temp paint as it will last longer.

I’ve done this a hundred times …

It’s not a big deal, the calipers do not need to be replaced and there’s no need for the use of any specialty or high-temp paint.

Pick your color in a Rustoleum product and simply clean the calipers and then paint them.

I recommend brush paint over spray also.

You don’t even need to remove them from their respective hubs.

They are cast iron, of course they will rust.

You can get a caliper paint kit like this.
