Brembo Gran Turismo BBK utilizing 13" two-piece rotors. 12.65 lb just like Black birdVQ said.

Are those rotors drilled by Brembo too? That's the most holes I've seen on a Maxima.

Well, yes and no. The holes aren't drilled after the rotor is produced, they are part of the mold Brembo uses and cured in place.

mold? i dont think mold could survive in that kinda temp, one brake would burn anything close to that...

which is the ONLY acceptable way to do it.

Drilling a blank just weakens the structure. Casting it with the holes does not.

i'm confused what "cross drilled" refers to. Why does brembo's website say the holes are drilled? Are they drilled or casted?

They're cast, but "cross drilled" sounds cooler than "cast with holes in them."

Actually, IIRC Brembo doesn't cast any of its 1-piece rotors with holes - only the 2-piece (more expensive) rotors.

When you buy standard Brembo rotors with holes, they have been DRILLED after the fact, not cast that way.

Hey Wizard,
How do you like the kit ? I just had my 1st track event with them and I think I will dump the Brembo pads for some Hawks. The floating rotor design takes getting used to when braking on the track, initially it feels like the rotors are warped under light braking when the brakes are HOT... but when you hit them harder they just stop the car like crazy.

I would also like to thank you for posting pictures of 17" wheels over them. I am going to pick up some 17" track wheels so I can run my Hoosiers on them, and I wasn't sure if they where going to clear the calipers.

I need to upgrade the rear brakes now, they actually get really hot on the track and stink a bit. HPS on stock rotors.

if you're using the 13 inch rotors those wouldn't be the blehmco bracket.. they would be the jeff92se brackets

Is the Brembo kit the lightest rotor and caliper set up? Mike Jez Brembo kit came in at 37 pounds. Anyone have the total weights of their set up?

Although not a maxima, I thought it would be appreciated:

Too bad this setup isn't available for a maxima. I know I would have bought one for mine if I still had it.

very clean on the altima. I just bolted up some G35 Coupe wheels. Feels great to have tons of clearance between the inner barrel of the wheel and caliper now compared to the crappy 17s I had.

HEY GUYS ?!?!?!.... I made a nice discovery for those w/ 3/4th gen maxima`s who want brembos. Using SER Spec V Brembos will bolt up. All u have to do is drill the rotors to 5 lug and they bolt right up. For a mock up on my friends B15 sentra, I used 3rd. gen Max rotors w/Maxima calipers. We found out the dimensions from the FSM that the 2k Sentra SE ( w/sr20de) are the same size rotors and same calipers as 3/4th Maxima`s. Being that the B15 Spindle is the same on the SE-Spec V, The Calipers are the direct bolt on w/ the rotors drilled. I`m searching for Brembo calipers from a Spec V to d the test fit on my 3rd gen.
