alright I found the thread, here. They were in terrible condition when I got them tho. Maybe I30 and maximas are somewhat different?

Idk, it was weird, it rubbed against the caliper, but not that it is milled down it isn't anymore, so i'm happy so far. I will rebleed them probably tomorrow and see how it goes.

So the brake pedal is mushy with Z32TT calipers and cobra rotors? I am a little disappointed to hear that if that's true. I am just about to go for a setup like that. If that's indeed the case, then I'll second guess myself a little here.

It shouldn't be mushy. That's a bleeding problem

I don't know where else to post this, so I'll do it here.

I'm looking for a set of Jeff's Cobra centering rings. If you know where I can get a pair or know of the dimensions of the Mustang hub bore, please let me know, thanks.

Those 13" cobra rotors? Where did you get the brackets from?

And I "think" the 17" 350z wheels will clear but I'm not 100% as I don't think the Z came with brembos and 17s?

they should clear the brakes but you're absolutly right no 350z/g35 had a brembo package with 17, all were 18 or bigger.

yea they're 13" cobras. i bought the kit from someone last fall, but i replaced the rotors and pads. i guess i'll have to find someone with the wheels and try them on. i wanted to buy a set to use in the winter and i want to be sure that it fits.

Since I can't seem to find any Cobra centering rings, what are people's thoughts on using centering rings for wheels for the rotors? It might not be perfect, but if it lessens the difference, I don't see how it could hurt....

you don't need the rings, just get the rotors redrilled to specs. I used the rings and redrilled rotors but it was the worst thing ever. for some reason, the pedal feel was soft and the ring did not sit flush on one side, so that one wheel would wobble. i took out the rings and it worked perfect. car stopped like a dream after that and no wobbling. just redrill the rotors, that's all. no rings needed.

Well I bought some pre-drilled rotors but they didn't drill them 100% perfect so the rotor came in contact with the caliper and I had to return them. Rather than risk wasting more time asking for another set of drilled rotors, I'm just getting un-drilled rotors and looking for a way to center them. I talked to a very reputable local machine shop and they said they could redrill them for $150 since it's very difficult to get it 100% perfect, but that's too rich for my blood.....

where did you get it redrilled? i had ordered my rotors from a vender on this site. i think it was automax95, and they came out perfect. But i never used my rings, when i get home, i'll see if i still have them and you can have it.

Those are Z32 calipers. They're not from a 180SX. 180SX calipers are the same as what's on your stock 4 gen-- at least that's what on the USDM 240SX.

I Did Cobra/Infiniti J30 setup about a year ago. You Dont need the rings. What I did was find a 99 mustang front hub in a junkyard and knock the studs out. I used the hub as a tenplate and drilled the holes in the rotor w/Nissan sized studs(12mm). it was a perfect fit. Cobra Rotors come with large holes for the studs because the bore on the Fords are larger to accommodate centering. If you do this right.. the holes you drill will center the rotor perfectly.

Hey fellas hopefully someone here can help with this issue. I bought the z32 and cobra rotors 505 which were originally from jeff. The install was a breeze considering that jeff made the kit for the maxima and i have a 02 altima( bolts right up). Im running m45 wheel 19x8.5 w/+50 offset but the spokes and calipers are hitting each other. I know im going to need spacers but just wanted to see if anyone else had this same issue. Heres some pics of them installed...
