Steering Issues

While driving straight on any road then making a right or left turn the steering wheel does go back to the center. If its a right turn and the vehicle goes back to traveling straight the steering is @ 2 o'clock, similar to an lack of or bad alignment. I have replaced most of my steering and suspension parts except for the rack n pinion itself. I held off from changing this part due to its labor intensity and place of a new rack ( $1,000 ). Does anybody have a idea?

hate to ask the obvious, but have you had an alignment recently? Sounds like you have excessive toe.....

Problem solved. The rack was leaking ( I knew this for over a year ) and the fluid was collecting near the lower control arm bushing. It ate away at the bushing causing movement of the arm. So I replaced the arm and the rack then aligned the vehicle. Everthing is back to normal. Thanks irish44j for your reply.
