Now here's a question....Tilley is in the process of completing my engine (waiting for Cattman GEN2 Headers) and when we spoke he told me that I didn't really need to worry about doing anything to the fuel system or FPR after I told him I had a hiflow aftermarket fuel pump. Any comments on this?

And maybe I'm missing something here, but, by following the directions for the FPR, thats all well and good but what connects to the outlet of the fuel rail? If you 'T' the line between the filter and the rail, run one leg to the rail and the other leg to the FPR, thence to the return (to tank) line that was plugged into the outlet of the fuel rail.....well...doesn't that just leave and open exit port on the fuel rail??

I'm basing this question on the pics I've been seeing in here. Does the 5.5 fuel rail have a sealed end on it in stock form? Perhaps I've been looking at 'modified' rail pics that look like they have an entrance and an exit?

The fact that you have a high-flow fuel pump would be an even better reason to get an adjustable FPR IMO.

Yes the stock 3.5 fuel rail doesn't have an exit to go back to the tank, only an inlet.

So what we're talking about here is not attaching an FPR to the fuel rail via an Off Kit but merely using it in between the feed and return fuel lines?

Thats where mine is going. I don't see any requirement to feed in and out of the fuel rail. I am just connecting the output of the FPR to the rubber hose feeding the fuel rail and connecting the fpr return to the stock return line. KISS

If someone wanted to use the stock 4th gen fpr you could just use it to replace the damper at the end of the rail but then you would only have 42 psi not 52 that the 3.5 is used to feeding on.

There's no need for the dampers since the inline fuel filter dampens the pulses on its own.

There is no need for them but there is also no need to take them off if you are using an aftermarket fpr, you are just making it more difficult for yourself.

You can, but its 9-10 mm smaller than a stock VQ35 TB, so I don't see why you would want to.

How long should a swap like this take? I'm sure it depends on alot. If you have the swap how long did it take to get it done.
