the only difference between a stock 287hp lower part of the plenum and the mrev 2 is that the mrev 2 is a "Standard lower collector with modified Intake Runners for reduced pressure drop "
"If you already have a spacer, all you need to do is modify the lower collector and it will make more torque and more horse power! In addition to area under the curve, it will kick up the peak HP by about 4-5 HP."
modify the lower collector in which way?

Actually they are milling the front runners down like in the MREV+ and now they are doing additional milling which gives additional HP in the MREV++ or as it is now called the MREV-2.

Jime, when you get your MREV++, take some pics of it for us. I'd like to see the additional machining.

Here are the pics of my upper 350Z plenum with the TB flange welded to plenum with elbow removed.
I have some dremeling to do but basically he did a pretty good job, won't take much to smooth it out on the inside.

MREV 2 pics. Brand new lower was returned with 5/16" spacer and latest MREV.
It appears some additional machining was done on the inside of all 6 runners plus what you can see here.
Its also brand new vs the old one I sent them.
Fairly substantial weight difference too. Upper and lower 350Z = 19 lbs vs 13 lbs for the Maxima.

The hardest part was the throttle cable, but once I figured that out it was very simple to do. I will snap a pic of that too. I started to polish the upper plenum but couldn't wait to install so it will have to wait for winter. Its shiny but rough.

In addition, for those that were wondering about the gains on the IM in this link:
http://chicagoz.com/v-web/bulletin/b...r=asc&start=45
If you read at the bottom where I posted, they are saying this will only beneficial to cars trying to push 500 or more whp. So I guess I will be moving towards the 350z IM.

Jime, i see that your running the breather filter on the front valve cover....you haven't had any problems with it? Most people say it messes up your car...rough idle, misfiring, etc...just wondering
how much did you get it for btw?
