Prepped VQ35 from 95 to 00-01?
Fairly lightweight question here.
I've got a VQ35 w/ VQ30 timing chain that was prepped with 1995 sensors and timing assembly. I know all major sensors from 95-99 to 00-01 are still the same but the electrical system/ECU in the last few years is somewhat different.
Would it drop right in and fire up fine in a 2000-2001, so long as the complete wiring harness from the 00-01 is used?

I would assume it should work in a 00-01.
Since the DEK timing equipment can be used to prep the motor and work in a 4th gen then it would be natural to assume it can work vice versa. Since both DE and DEK look for the same signal output from the sensors.

Itll work but I believe youll probably have to change the ECTS (coolant temp sensor) cause its a differnt type and probably the cam sensor (top one on the timing cover). Also remember that the EGR valves on the 00-01 are electronically controlled, NOT vaccum
