bigger injectors or FPR? My thoughts were injectors since the stock ones have 100000 on them anyways. If so what size? Also do I need an upgraded fuel pump? I also plan on getting a wideband. thanks guys,
Grant

Negative. You need about 250-260WHP before you even max out the stock fuel pump let alone the injectors.

I am close to 200whp and I have to take away fuel(stock af map) from my 290cc injectors so I doubt the 260-270cc stock injectors are close to being max'd out.

Your thread isn't clear. You have EU listed in the title, and advanced timing.

From what it seems, you want to try and put lager injectors or an AFPR in order to indirectly affect timing such as the way some do it on here. That's the way I read it.

BUT:
If you have an EU, why would you 'indirectly' affect timing when you can directly do it?

Go with an AFPR and keep the stock pump. Tune and adjust the fuel pressure if needed.

Looking at the mods listed in your sig you don't really need any of them at this point. If you're going to do one just go with the injectors. send em out to Deatschwerks and get em serviced. you're looking at about no more than $30 per injector for their top level service and there are different levels

Yea sorry, probably attributed to my ignorance when it comes to tuning

So heres the deal: I have an EU and MEVI and would like to extend the rev limiter and advance the timing.

1. Is there anything else I need to make this work well. Ive been told a wideband would be best to send an AF ratio signal to the EU - something I should invest in?

2. Can I tune myself (acquire runfiles etc. for the EU) or should I take the car somewhere to be tuned?

Thanks guys,
Grant

Buy a cheap wideband that has an output so you can put the output to the EU. Then you just drive and data log with the EU and tune yourself. Or if you can get the autotune working for you, you can use that and just lightly tune timing until you get on the dyno.

Just to clear something up... You can do the timing thing with the EU alone, no AFPR needed.

Kevlo nailed it.

Runfiles are only directly from a Dynojet, which you do not have. As for the tuning, kevlo said it best again, damn know it all.

I think you mean Logging. Yes, EMU can do that, timing, A/F, lots of other stuff.
