There is only one way that question can be answered. Someone has to do it.

I just confirmed with Nissan FAST and DAVEB that the VQ35DE REVUP valve retainers are the exact same part number as the VQ35HR valve retainers.

NEW retainer part# 13209-AC700 VQ35DE (REVUP), VQ35HR

OLD retainer part# 13209-6N200 (VQ35DE)

Get pricing from Dave Burnette or your local Nissan parts department.

Very nice, I've no doubt they can handle the job of an aggressive cam at 7500.

Good info.
If you could excuse my newbie'ness to this field, I have a question.
Double shim what? I got lost there. I understand what a shim is, and what coil bound is, but whats the gain of double shimming? Where is the shim placed?

Shimming increases the seat pressure of the spring by preloading it. The shim goes between the spring seat and the spring.

Also, double shimming isn't absolutely necessary. It depends on the requirements of your particular setup.

Any chance the images can be reposted if anyone downloaded them? The site that was/is hosting them is locked down.
