the outside of that 510 is really nice, that engine bay makes me wish you didn't take pictures of it. i'm really interested in seeing how the maxima rb26dett is going to turn out. be sure to build a nascar spec rollcage. honestly i think you would have been better off tubeing the front end and making a cross member and suspension mounting points to make sure everything would have fit.

who's the first non-1st-gen RWD then? someone claimed one of the mods had his done but i PM'd him and he never responded (probably assumed i was a stupid n00b that wanted to ask about something i'd never be able to do, if in fact he had done it)

IIRC Jeff used to have a photoshopped sig of his 3rd gen doing a RWD burnout....or maybe it was Clee?

And yes, this is the first RWD Maxima that isn't a 1st gen....

if i remember right its a green 4th gen, and in the mod list there was "the first ever AWD Maxima" in large font, and the mod list was pretty extensive so i dont doubt it. cant remember their username though, but their sig has the front of the car angled so you can see the drivers side

(capedcadaver posting from crusher's PC... too lazy to sign him out and sign me in)
clee is the guy i'm thinking of that someone said spent money to have a shop do that to his car... but he never replied to my PM simply asking if it was true or not, probably cuz i was just one of hundreds that had pestered him about it.

he'd be better off buying a 1st gen and putting ____ engine in it. same retro styling, alot less hassle hacking up the firewall and all that mess. you saw how much cutting and stuff this dude has done so far on his 4th gen.

A 2nd gen with a L series engine would be cool. i guess he was forced to remove both of his turbos and hes making that car RWD and bought another 2nd gen for the meantime. that guy's extremely handy to do all that himself, and he had the first TT 2nd gen

and fk it was MaximaSpd85 i was thinking of with the AWD, kinda ghey that its in his sig

yea but you know how much front-axle weight a 2nd gen with an L-series (ie boat anchor) engine would have? like >60% probably... so it would understeer just as bad as a FWD 2nd gen. And woudln't have any weight over the drive wheels. I'd like to see maxxxkid's final axle weight info once the car is driveable. that's what concerns me about his build is that the nose is gonna be too heavy for the car to handle like a normal RWD car, especially since he used a long tall engine (RB) instead of a short one (VQ).

I don't know whats worse, that you believed it or that you mentioned it again as being true

It wasn't a green max it was a black max and it was a joke, that you apparently had no clue about.

If you don't mind me asking, how much do you think this project will cost you after its all said and done?

Will it be for show or will it see the track?

Just curious........
